Only stayed over on a Tuesday night, plenty of places to eat, we ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant in the square, it was busy which is a good sign and the food was excellent. There is a lovely church in the square and coffee shops to chill in. Easy to get to from main link roads. The roads in Sleaford are very busy at times but it is an old town and the roads reflect this.

Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go.
Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go. The only thing we knew about it was the Sleaford Mods spawned from the town!
There is a farmer's market first Saturday in the month. A range of restaurants and shops. Restaurants are busy on a Friday night and you need to book in advance. One way system takes a bit of getting used to.

Lovely little place.
Facilities good. Plenty of little shops and pubs and cafes.
Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special.
Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby.
We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

The property is not in Sleaford itself.
The property is not in Sleaford itself. It’s in a village called Ewerby. The hotel has lots of history which is detailed in a book in the room. There are also many photos scattered around showing how it used to look. Ewerby is a lovely quiet village with a church, a pub and some pretty houses. It was nice for a short stroll. Sleaford itself is a short drive away along country lanes. Sleaford is a much bigger town with a high street packed with shops. There was a nice river there and you could stroll along the banks viewing all the wildlife.
-Excellent Welcome and very comfortable room...
-Good location in the centre of Sleaford, good choice of restaurants/bars within 3mins walk...
-Impressed the way the staff will go above and beyond, and make sure your car has a valid parking ticket in the public car park, for the guests who are 'late risers'...
-Large breakfast...
-Small thing - but at last, a pleasure to find a premises that provides a lot of the little milk cartons in the room for a 'room cuppa'...
-Small bar on the premises for guests - extra bonus...
Family met us on our first night there for a meal in the restaurant. Fabulous food and service. Our room was lovely, we had the deluxe suite. Was quiet even though we were at the front of the hotel. My dad had a small fall whilst we were there. Nothing to do with the hotel, just old age, but the colleague was fantastic holding our rooms in case we needed to stay another night following a visit to hospital. Dad was OK and able to travel so we went home. We will definitely stay again
We had a king size room which had tons of space, with a very large, very comfortable bed, we slept very well indeed. What I liked about the room and the bathroom was that it was decorated to match the building and not in a super modern, sterile way.
The only outside noise was from the train line next to the hotel but as Sleaford isn't a busy station, it wasn't a problem.
I absolutely loved this place! It was really lovely and I'm so happy I stumbled upon the listing. The location was great. It was easy to find and parking was not a problem. There were lovely touches throughout and lots of information for the cottage and surrounding areas.
The proprietors have tried hard to make the rooms quirky, the novelty items make the bedrooms interesting. Beds were ok.
It's very handy if you need to be in Sleaford, which we did.
The butter and the sausages at breakfast were very nice.
Wide range of cereal and fruit available, plenty of snacks, tea and coffee and infused drinks in room, more than you could expect. Better than some 5star hotels. I would highly recommend and if needed will certainly stay again.
location was fantastic, my English family had joked about Sleaford being in the middle of no ware but actually worked out great, Sleaford is a beautiful market town close to Linkon and trains 1hr to london and york
An absolute gem of a place for a short stay in Sleaford - clean, modern, comfortable with everything you need. Great communication from the hosts, easy access and central location.
Perfect location, comfortable beds, super power shower, courteous friendly helpful Manager Shannon, I will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend!
