Lovely big room with lots of storage space, comfortable, enormous bed and a modern bathroom with two sinks, which helped two people get ready for the day at the same time. Breakfast was great - lovely cooked food, good choice of cereal. Dinner was excellent and seemed to be very good value when compared to a pub meal we had another night. All staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. Location was very scenic and also convenient for Dumfries, and there were some lovely walks close by which, if we'd had more time, we would have liked to explore. Good, well-placed car park. Easy drop-off at the front door.

location was fine, a fair bit of noise from nearby roads and pubs but nothing excessive, was sure the parking area looked particularly safe but the car was fine for the duration.
