The room was quite clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay together with my wife. The hotel was very close to town center and Alnwick Castle. All the things surrounding have great atmosphere like old and well preserved buildings, cosy bars and green lands. In the morning we drank our coffees at the space with tables and chairs just in front of the hotel. The hotel manager was also so kind and hospitable.

Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways.
The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious.
At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience.
Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Love Warkworth. A beautiful village.
Love Warkworth. A beautiful village. The castle was magnificent. Was disappointed that the hermatige wasn't open though. Beach stunning and bus easy to catch to Alnwick. There are two lovely shops selling reasonably priced unique items. The most dog friendly place I have ever been too.

Warkworth is a lovely place but the main street is quite steep. However, most of the lovely shops are customer friendly. the castle is worth a visit and there is a lovely walk by the river. We loved Grays and The Potting Shed. We ate at other places so cant recommend any in Warkworth but we especially enjoyed the Italian fish restaurant { Carlini? }in Alnwick.
Our room overlooked Warkworth Castle and was set back off the main road making it the perfect spot to explore the town and within easy walk along the river to Amble and it's lovely quayside.
Food was amazing everywhere we visited in town and although we didn't eat in the hotel, the food looked nice and the bar was lovely and friendly staff made us more than welcome
Property is located at the far (north) end of the main street. We didn't find traffic noise a problem - and the excellent cafe, Bertrams, is very close!. Warkworth itself is well located for the southern end of the Northumbrian Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, although you could choose to stay further north. Amble, Alnmouth and Alnwick are all nearby.
The property is nicely decorated and rooms are comfortable and spacious with a nice walk in shower and comfortable beds. The location is great for exploring the northumberland coastal area , with beautiful walks to the beach as well as riverside walks from the door. The staff was professional and friendly and the breakfast was excellent!
Once we’d found the place we thought it was a nice location it is remote but only a few mins from Warkworth and 10 minutes drive from Amble. If after reading this review you still chose to stay ignore the location provided by Host & Stay it directs you to field opposite!!! Follow Mill Farm sign…
Easy access to main roads for visiting attractions 3 local pubs selling meals nice view of warkworth Castle on a busy road but very quiet on a night beds were comfy and a good size walk in shower Grace the owner left a basket of provisions which was very much appreciated and a lovely touch
Wonderful place, great setting. The village itself is lovely on the eye, when the sun is out. Early morning walks around the village are great. Follow the river path. The hotel itself is wonderful. The staff never stop smiling & nothing too much trouble. The food is good. Keep it up.
