A wonderful older hotel. There's a small car park at the side for about twelve cars which was handy. Very helpful staff on reception who were happy to let me use the car park as I arrived way too early for check in. Nice decor and a pair of lovely sitting rooms one leading onto the small bar. My room was very large. I had twin beds. The shower wasn't the largest but it worked well. Well stocked with tea and coffee in the room. The hotel is in a great location right next to Devonshire Park the Stage Door pub and a short walk to the seafront. I had a nice cooked breakfast with good service. A very enjoyable stay. I will be back at some point.

Great spot, I had an uber take me straight to the entry point of the cliffs of seven sisters and hiked/walked back to The View and it was a good few hours venture, absolutely beautiful. Uber was 7 minutes from here to Birling Gap car park and cliffs straight ahead. Front Desk so welcoming. Great restaurants like Soup n Tap and Little Italy, delicious. Pier within walking distance. Room was great, clean, big, bed was a dream to sleep on.

Great location; very welcoming staff, nice personal attention. I'd requested twin beds and the room was made up ready. This doesn't always happen, several times in the recent past, in other hotels, we've had to wait for the room to be re-configured after check-in; comfortable bed and pillows in a lovely room. Thanks to the Victorians for building high ceilings and big windows, the room felt spacious,light and airy. A very enjoyable stay, would definitely book again.

Great countryside round the property and in the Seven Sisters Country Park.
Breakfast and one dinner in the property (as I wished).
Buses to Seaford and Eastbourne are frequent.
It's easy to be confused when ordering a taxi from Beacon Taxis in Seaford.

Very quiet, though visited by many tourists, there was a quiet relaxed feeling in the hotel. The walks were pleasant and easy. International visitors mixed with locals. We we surprised by the quality of the service and the food. Instead of leaving the hotel to eat in the evenings we stayed in and enjoyed well prepared and beautifully presented simple elegant fare.
