This city hotel offers air-conditioned/heated rooms in the city of Volos. The Municipal Theater and the port are a just block away. The Hotel Philippos’ rooms are spacious with private bathroom.

We used the Philippos Hotel as a stopping point on the way to the north.
The location is ideal, with easy access to the port and shopping. Car parking was free, although the hotel has three parking bays right outside, but all were taken.
Thanassis was on duty that evening, and Katerina the next morning, and both were friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent English.
Right on the central square of Portaria with its shading plane trees, lies the hotel and restaurant Kritsa. It offers romantic rooms, a rich traditional breakfast.

Where to start? This is one of our new favorite hotels in the world. We had a room with a fireplace, and the wonderful staff were kind enough to help us light it. This means we spent every evening cozied up by a fire, in a small Greek mountain village. What a dream. The food was some of the best we’ve had in all our travels. The breakfast is the stuff of dreams—huge variety, with both sweet and savory options, and delicious cappuccinos made to order. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights, and each meal was divine. This was the perfect Greek mountain retreat, and we would love to come back and stay again someday!

We had such a wonderful time at Portaria and at this hotel!
The owner was so nice and made sure we’re happy and comfortable, he also helped us plan our trip in the area.
Breakfast was nice and fresh, there is a lovely outside sitting garden.
Location is right a the village heart and all the restaurants and shops are just 2 steps away.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the main road and close to the ferries. There are many restaurants and ferry agencies on the main road. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The management is friendly and attentive. The breakfast hour is an enjoyable experience. I am happy to recommend this hotel.

Lovely, big house in the middle of an olive yard, approx. 500 metres from the main road. You definitely need a car to get around. The house is spotless, has airco and everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The guest house has a separate entrance, but you need to walk through a garden shared with the hostess, if you want complete isolation, then this is not a place for you.
We enjoyed our conversations with the lovely Katina, she was very kind, provided us with water and brought us tomatoes and figs from the garden, olive oil and we also tasted her delicious stuffed peppers.
