We were greeted by a lovely lady who we learned later is the “Mama” of the family. She was so sweet and welcoming. Her son came by to make sure we had everything we needed and verify our plans for dinner. We had asked in advance for dinner and breakfast, it’s an additional cost but worth every penny. We were served a delicious fish dinner which we learned was caught in the nearby river. Our room was clean and comfortable, it’s a shared bathroom, but that was not a problem. The surrounding area is farmland and in the middle of the Krupa River area. Outstanding nature all around and a very relaxing place to just get away from it all.

Hosts were extremely welcoming! Although our arrangement did not include any food there was cold mineral water in the fridge; we were offered coffee, homemade elderflower juice, excellent apple strudel, and figs freshly picked from a tree. The appartment is very spaceous (80m2), comfortable, and clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds were super-clean, large (I am 6'4") and comfortable.
There is pristine nature with the majestic Zrmanja canyon close by, with waterfalls where you can swim in the summer.

Not only was the included breakfast extensive & delicious, that restaurant provided affordable & delicious lunch and dinner with charming & helpful servers. We walked down the stairs from our room directly onto the waterfront & snorkeled before breakfast in the super-clean, clear water. The historic fortress above the town was a few minutes' drive and there was an incredible sunset while we were exploring it. The hotel is very clean.
