The bungalows were basic but clean and comfortable. The garden and surroundings were beautiful-lush and colorful. It’s very peaceful except for the frequent loud calls to prayer by the mosque right next door. The staff was incredible- friendly and attentive. We had many interesting conversations with them. The food was simple but tasty and inexpensive.

We had an amazing stay at Ariel Bungalows. Anya and his family are so kind and welcoming. The food was always delicious and the surroundings are so beautiful. We did the walking tour with Anya and it was great - he knows so many people in the local area so we could stop and help harvest the rice, have local coffee etc. Our stay was my highlight of our time in Indonesia.
The room is simple but comfortable and clean. The shower is hot. After being in the very hot humid Gili islands we were worried about not having aircon but the temperature in Tetebatu is very nice and cool in the evening. There are also not many mosquitos.

Suef and Anggi immediately made us feel at home and part of the family. Everything you could want and more from a Homestay.
Suef took us to all of the best locations in Tetabatu: swimming in waterfalls, seeing black monkeys and the rice terraces. We were especially blown away by how much grows in Tetebatu and how much they grow on the property as well!
There was no need to find any Warung near by because Anggi is the best chef that we’ve come across in Indonesia.
We hope to come back and see princess Arumy all grown up!

The Al Sasaki homestay is beautifully constructed eith a garden full of plants and trees. You have free access to the kitchen and prepare your own indonesian meals with the guidance of the ladies of the house. I did a day tour with Hari through the rice fields and waterfall that was lovely He thought me about all type of trees and medicinal plans. In the evening we did all together cocunut oil.
