This tiny hotel was amazing! Asyou look at the advertisement picture, the pool is as is. Surprise!Cooler than the ocean, lightly chlorinated, refreshing... Crystal clear. We booked two rooms. The price was so great. These were sparkling clean 🫧 Linen & pillows & they were soft, snuggly & smelling of heaven. So comfy, I wanted to stay in 🛏️. Great Wi-Fi, a desk next to the front windows with shutters that open to let the salty smelling air flow in. ⛵ Sea breeze from across the street made aircon unnecessary. A power outlet, close enough that my extension could reach to the patio in front of my front door. My laptop and phone were always charged. On the patio was a round wooden table/two wooden Captain chairs. Cozy!!! Here we played UNO in the evening by 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️, having a couple of Bingtangs with homemade munchies from a market around the corner after dinner.
Did I tell you about the breakfast? 5 choices. One a traditional Indonesian breakfast. My one friend had banana pancakes and I had the egg toast sandwich that basically had everything on it like it was a burger.Delicious, wait staff super, timely & didn't keep coming back to bug us. Traditional Bali coffee w/ real milk. Later, I took a stroll across the street & beachcombed collecting seashells, 🪜 lifeguard platform & played my 🎸 while watching the shooting 🌠 For real!!!

The staff was so helpful and helped me to plan my transportation there and visiting a coffee plantation on the way! Then they organized my boat to Lombok and a Rinjani trek. I really appreciate the hospitality and help with all of my logistics. Also! My room was beautiful with a view of the ocean :)

The room was clean and comfortable, the room on the third floor has an amazing sunrise view, and you can have them bring your breakfast up to the balcony. The family was very nice and helpful!

We had never heard of PadangBai and only visited to catch the ferry to Nusa Lebongan. Pleasantly surprised to find this small town offering good restaurants, live music (Omani Omang), good diving (Absolute Dive), and pretty scenery.
The negative is the amount of plastic garbage in the sea and on the beaches. I don’t know if this is common to the region, but I strongly recommend the communities make a concerted effort to clean this up. The plastic garbage was appalling and detracted from the ambience.

The pier wasn't as bad as expected although the condition could be improved considering it's very busy and frequented by many tourists every day! Be careful if porter scam as someone will approach you asking to help and will charge you in the end for the service. If you need an assistance, do agree in advance on the fee.
Do note that a harbor tax is compulsory at IDR10,000 per person.

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili . We got up early as the drive in showed us a very pretty part of Bali we have never seen.
This is a very cute little fishing village and gateway to Lombok and all it's Islands. The locals are very friendly and honest. My husband left his mobile phone in the taxi and the hotel called the taxi driver who had it back in 5 minutes (he was thrilled at the 100,000 Rp roughly $10 AUD tip)
There was a good selection of restaurants on the waterfront offering lovely fresh Indonesian and Western food we loved the Ikan Bakkat (fish in banana leaves) spicy and delicious. The Cocktails did not disappoint either and my husband welcomed a few cleansing Bintang Beers.

There are afew nice places to eat along the front we stayed 1 afternoon and night before travelling to the gills and that’s enough nothing to see here really. Good food tho in both restaurants on the front we picked and there was also plenty of people selling snacks etc at the harbour. It is like most places in Bali, chaotic with traffic and the people especially the harbour.

There is a small port town which is ok. A few beaches nearby
are a bit surprising given that its a busy port.
I would never return to this port, as Sanur is more sane. You will
be in line and feel like a hearded animal before you even get onto
the boat, try to avoid this experience.
FastboatGili changed our reservation, said it was overbooked
even though had a deposit in advance. Morning of boat departure
the boat company tried to rip us off...just be clear on what you paid
and your balance, dont be intimidated. The boats from here are generally
overpriced but not much you can do about it.

The host was very helpful and accommodating.
The host was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is still under renovations and not completed yet so very much had a sense of unfinished hotel. The shower flooded and host arranged to have it repaired immediately which was appreciated. Breakfast was basic and the pool was small. There was a small water dispenser in the room that made a gouging noise and kept us awake. Meals were not available and we had to walk into main shopping area for meals and supplies. Overall ok for a one night stopover.
We had an amazing time at Bay view house. Liu and Wayan treated us like family and provided exceptional service to us. The rooms were great, the breakfast was delicious and the location was close to the beach and in the center of the city.
I highly recommend booking a snorkelling tour with Wayan (cheaper prices than other ones in town, excellent experience) and also booking his service to take you through East Bali. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a great great guide!
The owners are a very friendly local family and are original Padang Bai residents. They were extremely helpful and took great care of us, especially when my mum was sick for several days during our stay. Staying at Celagi, while on the budget side, gave us a wonderful insight into local life and culture. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the rooftop terrace over the harbour was always something to look forward to in the mornings.
What an absolute dream villa. You have to see it to believe it. It's a work of art and also offers the most incredible views of Padangbai. The sunrise from my bedroom blew me away. Marcel and Made are so lovely and helped me change my ferry to a more direct route. Also offered to look after my things while I travel to the islands. I'm very happy I'll be spending my last night in Bali here. Special shout out to the adorable tortoises.
We made a last minute booking because our ferry from Penang Bai to Gili Air was cancelled. A short walk up hill through a leafy village took us to this simple but delightful home. The staff were a family who live at the property so if you don't like small children noises, it isn't the place for you. This didn't bother us at all and the children were very very good. A cheap and delightful place to stay. Many thanks.
Great location, close to the shops & beach but far enough away you can enjoy the surrounding nature in peace. Great views from the balcony! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped us organise a trip to the Gili islands and took us by moped to the port. They also gave us tips on our onward travel, which have been really helpful! Very kind people and the hotel has a very laidback vibe
Good location near the harbour of Padangbai. As we used this hotel for our trip from Bali to the Gili Islands, the location is perfect! As for the hotel, the staff really helped us out with the boat tickets and were very friendly. The facilities are what you might expect from an Inn like this. Good, but nothing special. In short, perfect stop for one night!
View is unbeatable, the tropical garden is ultra beautiful. And we were lucky to stay in the Villa facing the pretty Padangbai beach and its bustling harbour. Wandering around the hotel and in the helix resto was also great as we can also see the part of Bali Eastern Coast. Facility is good as expected. Staff is helpful. Pool is pretty.
Very nice bedroom in a Balinese house, Wayan and his wife are lovely and the house is located in the centre of Padangbai which is great to grab the ferry to the Gilis.
Wayan offers taxi services too and he picked us up from Denpasar for a reasonable price which made the whole experience super relaxing. Thanks again!
Bali 85 Beach Inn was in a lovely secluded location (under 10min drive to Padang Bai port) and the staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It was a great place to spend the night before taking the fast boat to Gili Air from Padang Bai port.
This is a great place. I loved the private courtyard. The bathroom was clean. The staff are lovely. The food in the café is great. The a c was a bit weak, it possibly needs some maintenance. By far, the best place I have stayed in Padangbai.
The staff were very kind and the breakfast included was good. The location was very nice; you feel like you are right in the middle of town. Access to the Blue lagoon and white sand beach from the hotel was great.
We took this hotel just for a night as we wanted to go Gili early morning, Great location ,just 2 mins walk from the pedang bay harbour .
Very clean rooms and decent bathroom.
Very decent hotel for cheap price.
The people running this hotel are amazing. The hotel is clean and neat. The staff are very attentive to your needs. Nothing fancy but it ticks all the right boxes and for the price It's an unbelievable bargain.
The lady of the house and her son were fantastic. Although this place is rather low budget, the breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Bali. We would book this place again. Perfect for this price.
Phenomenal panoramic view of the town, rolling hills, coastline and ocean. Very comfortable, friendly and supportive with great recommendations for our (unfortunately only short) time in Padangbai
Basic room on a super helpful and friendly family run hotel. I stayed there for a night and it was all I was looking for, comfortable bed and great location. Breakfast is also great!
