Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.

The Snug restaurant - superb bar food , good menu
Rarely do we stay at accommodation that’s sets a new benchmark. Seafort did just that in so many ways. The property quality, facilities, cleanliness and comfort - just perfection. The host was like a friend who was so welcoming, gave us the space we needed, but was there to give us tips on trips and sites in the area whenever we needed it. The tranquil and stunning environment complimented the best scrambled eggs I had for breakfast! No hesitation in recommending this stay to anyone visiting West Cork!
This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Probably one of my best stays ever. This hotel is located on the habour road, close to the town. Staff at this hotel are excellent. Receptionist very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant food and services was fantastic. I used the pool and it was superb. I asked for a room, high floor, close to the life, and this was the room I got. Parking is free in an underground garage. The room was large and comfortable. A memorable stay.
Our host Eileen is not only a consummate professional who keeps an immaculately beautiful home but is the warmest and most accommodating host we have ever experienced. The breakfasts were amazing, the accommodations were very comfortable and clean and her house is located in a stunningly beautiful setting only a few hundred meters from the edge of Bantry Bay and with mountain views. Thanks again for an amazing stay!!!
The location was great for Bantry and surrounding area.

One of the nicest B&Bs on our trip. The owner Angela is super nice and helpful. The room was very nice and quiet, and the house has all amenities one could want including a fully-equipped kitchen. Easy walking distance to downtown pubs and restaurants. Check out O'Connors if you like fish, and Ma Murphy's pub.
Fantastic B&B with hotel Style accommodation. Spotless room. Beautiful views. The owner is so lovely and interesting to chat to. Breakfast is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Best Gluten Free bread I have had in any B & B anywhere. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Bantry
Breakfast was scrupmptious. We only paid a flyng visit as we were attending an event, so it was just a one night stay. Would love to come again and stay for longer. It really was a fantastic location with stunning views out to Bantry Bay, and our hosts could not have looked after us better
Everything went well, breakfast was lovely and had lots of variety, room was clean and comfortable and the tv worked which can be dodgy in some hotels. we had dinner in restaurant one night and it was of excellant quality and good value
The location was a bit more remote than I had expected but was very beautiful and peaceful. While bantry was just a few minutes drive away. The host was very helpful and made some great recommendations.
The host, Mary, is a pure delight. Very helpful and kind. The house was bigger than I expected, spotless. The location is gorgeous and convenient to Bantry and Glengarriff. 10/10.
The breakfast was SUPERB and the house was a quaint little house near the beach just outside of Bantry. Very relaxing, you couldn’t ask for a more relaxing and enjoyable place.
Excellent breakfast, the entire place was spotless. Siobhan was an excellent, informative, helpful host. Stunning views of Bantry Bay from our bedroom.
