Stayed for New year. In the middle of nowhere. Felt like we were on the moon. Geothermal pool and sauna were great. And northern lights bar very smart.

Great place for family vacations involving horseback riding, but also a great place to spend some quiet time and decompress. We used it to recover from jet-lag for a couple of days. Breakfast was fabulous. Dinners were also great, albeit expensive.
The Greenhouse hotel has 7 restaurants and a bar in its food hall, Icelandic designer stores, Icecream and a local food market.

I was hoping for a lot of cool plants but the vast majority were fake! The concept was cool. The food was DELICIOUS and the vibes was nice! It was good that they included tickets to the local pool.

Everything you want and need from a getaway guesthouse/apartment, not too far from Reyjavik. Easy to access all the south coast stops without the hassle of the city traffic. The apartment was cozy and separate from their other units, which were also very nice, but this one was perfect for a couple. The hosts made every accommodation request we had and even let us use their vacuum for our airtight clothes bags! Very charming and overall what a great place to stay while visiting the Icelandic scenery.

The place was lovely, very quiet in the middle of the nature.
Very short drive to Selfoss (less than 10min) and very easy to access.
We got lucky and saw the northen lights :)
Thank you to Sabine for preparing the room before the storm ;-)
Although we did not get to see the Northern Lights (which is why I booked this hotel), we very much enjoyed our stay! The scenery on the drive to the hotel is spectacular (if not a little scary if you're in wind/rain/snow), and the hotel is very, very cool! We enjoyed getting into the warm geothermal pool and sitting in the Northern Lights lounge after dinner. The food is fantastic and the staff was more hospitable than anywhere else we had experienced on our 10-day trip.
Isolated location with great facilities (geothermal pool and sauna looking out to the hills). The staff were accommodating with transferring us to their hotel in Reykjavik. Not only that, the hotel in Reykjavik messaged us on WhatsApp if there was an early check in available (which there was). They went above and beyond with our situation. If you are travelling in winter, make sure you have logistics organised or know how to drive in their tough conditions.
This was absolutely the best hotel we stayed in on our 12 day trip around Iceland. It was also the most expensive, but I believe it was worth it. Every other hotel was filled with partying travelers who were too loud all night, and this luxurious hotel was the best sleep we got during out entire trip. Relaxing in the geothermal tub really seals the deal on this hotel--it's worth the extra expense. Very cute bar as well, with tasty drinks.
The stuffs here are all friendly and helpful. Because of the storm, we cannot arrived at the hotel as we planned. The stuffs helped me reorganize the hotel near airport, which is also nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the last day of 2022 in Iceland. The firework and spring are fantastic. Thank you for keeping touch with me all the time. See you next time!
The hotel is very well equipped in terms of facilities and most amenities, with the staff being very friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast and dinner meal options are generally very good and the Northern Lights bar is a highlight. Finally, our room was absolutely fine - comfortable bed, very clean and well equipped bathroom.
It was so peaceful and remote! I truly was able to get away from it all. We hiked up the Hengill Volcano one day and after 6 hours of hiking we’re able to relax in the geothermal pool. just absolute bliss. location is unbeatable. staff were all friendly. food was amazing. just faultless. great way to spend my birthday!
The staff were really helpful. I travelled to the hotel with my elderly mother as she has always wanted to see the Northern Lights and on the second night we were not disappointed. The food was great and the staff really looked after my Mum when I went off to do the snorkelling experience.
The dinner from the resturant is superb, the menu is kind of fusion cusine with Iceland/Nordic ingredient, very creative and impress me a lot. The pool is awsome too as you can enjoy the spa in a semi-open area which you can see the aurora and stars or galaxy together! The room is okay.
Hotel is unique and I've always wanted to stay here. The views are amazing! Hot spring beneath hotel have great views of the mountains and lava fields. Room was clean, quiet and well furnished. The food at breakfast and dinner were great. Lots of selection.
Remote, in a valley filled with steam holes and thermal streams - amazing in winter.
Superb cooking, and the outside thermal pool has wonderful views.
An excellent range of walks from outside the hotel up into the hills and mountains - beautiful.
Very cool location, and the hotel itself is just really cool! The bar area is very nice to sit and have a drink, and the spa pool and sauna area is gorgeous! I loved the decoration and the front desk staff were very helpful and nice.
Bar was lovely. Good views, fun cocktails, comfortable seating, warm inviting ambiance.
Hotel in dark area so you can see Aurora well if it comes out.
charging station for plug in autos.
Eco friendly.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location. You feel like there is no one else on earth except for the people at the hotel. The spa was also a big plus for us after a long day of sightseeing.
We loved the restaurant, the food for lunch and dinner was super yummy. The pool and spa was great and the lounge room was so nice to relax and have a drink or two.
