Overall, it was a very nice stay. I initially had a bit of trouble with my reservation, since, due to a calendar synchronization problem, I booked a room that appeared as vacant on the website but was in reality occupied. However, the owner was very helpful and offered us another and more expensive room in exchange, at the same price as the first one, given this misunderstanding. He was attentive to our requests and even showed us around when we arrived. The apartment complex is big, it has recently been renewed and is very close to the lake (we could see it from the balcony). The beach is a few minutes walk away. As for the location, the apartment is quite close to Menaggio - the bus ride takes only a few minutes. I still advise you to be careful in planning your trip towards other towns and cities if you don't come by car, as the bus connection is unfortunately not good from Menaggio onwards- there were not many buses running when we were there. The room was overall clean and there was water and a bit of food in the fridge. There are a few bars and restaurants that can be reached by foot from the apartment and there's a small general store close by if you prefer to cook on your own as well.

Very large apartment on the 1st floor with the bonus of 2 bathrooms. Everything you need is inside. Very clean and comfortable. Very close to the small beach by the lake and the couple of bar's and restaurants on the top road. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer. Had great parking for our motorcycles right outside the apartment. Was a guide inside with lots of information about things to do around lake Como. Good communication with the owner about how to find the location and good to see them to hand over key and show us round instead of messing about with lock boxes.

Easy parking, great view from the terrace. The staff were great, helped us to plan our days there, and were extremely helpful.

Everything was great, close to the centre - 10-5 minutes walk. The room was spacious and clean.

Located in Varenna and only 3 minutes on foot from Lake Como, Hotel Montecodeno is very close to a ferry boat stop. It offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the garden and mountains.

The staff members helped facilitate a lost bag transfer. They delivered our bag to our room once it arrived. Bravo! Breakfast was good, nice selection

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS! This is the epitome of Lake Como. Their grounds are on a botanical garden with wonderful photo opportunities. The room was large with a great view of the lake. They gave us a thank you package upon checkout and booked the shuttle to the train station for us.
