very nice location for walking the via di Francesco. On the side of the road, but quiet. Dinner and breakfast included which was great. But when they say dinner at 7:30, don’t be late!

La Torricella is surrounded by greenery, close to the Foreste Casentinesi National Park. Its restaurant has a veranda with a beautiful view of Casentino Valley and Poppi's castle.

The dinners there were great. Breakfast was probably OK for Italian purposes, but the Austrian/German buffet set-ups a bit more diverse.

Locanda dei Baroni is a welcoming old inn dating back to 1100. It is set right in the middle of the Casentino Forest National Park and opposite the Camaldoli Monastery.
