Magical house in a magical village. We came during a storm and I felt like in the rainforest. The owners were very nice, actually everyone in the village was nice. Big apartment, super cheap, clean and beautiful view and terrace.

It was off the beaten track but very worth the detour. Very nice decor and presentation, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast. Well appointed and comfortable room. Good restaurant right next door.

The location was very good in the center of town at an intersection. There are bars and restaurants close by and a shopping center down the road. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location of the town allows for exploring the area, and it is easy to get to the sea and Sicily. There's a terrace upstairs which will be perfect for the summer. I will definitely go back there.

The property is fantastic, everything new! The rooms are big and beautiful; our room even have a sauna! The staff was very nice! We will certainly come back!

Super clean, owner was very nice and responsive. He came up to look at something my husband had a question about and he gave us a gift from his pizzeria downstairs. The pizza was delicious too.

We chose it because we were going to meet for the first time kin in San Giorgio Morgeto and it is the closest place to stay, since San Giorgio has nothing. But Gemma is a jewel, not only in name. The operator, Daniele, agreed for a very moderate fee to meet us in Rosarno, the closest train station, but then a train derailed north of Naples and delayed our train by two hours. Daniele sent his father anyway late at night at no extra charge, who brought us to the property. At Rosarno we had to move our luggage down one long stair and up another in order to use the underpass under the rail lines. Since we have some physical limitations at our age, that was problematic. On the way back the father helped us move the luggage. We told Daniele we would pay, but he flatly refused. The rooms are above a store that sells automotive supplies that the family also runs, but the rooms are absolutely clean, comfortable and secure. You get breakfast by walking a block or two down slope to a little “bar,” actually more like a cafe, where a delightful young barmaid named Rosamaria brings you espresso and your choice of croissants filled with jam or chocolate for 8.5 euros for two (depending on how many you eat). Worth taking the train to Rosarno and traveling into the hills just to stay there. And the father is president of the local futsal (indoor soccer, played 5 on a side) club, which finishes in the top four of Serie A, the top league composed of the best teams in all of Italy, and they lost in the semi-finals last season by one goal, 4-3!
