There are just a few rooms in a restored building in the heart of Marzamemi, just off the main piazza. The place has been tastefully decorated. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a nice little balcony. Francesca, the owner, was great and provided all the needed information about checking in ahead of time. Breakfast had a wonderful selection of local and home made foods, both savory and sweet.

Marzamemi is a small but charming medieval town on the Ionian coast. It's a Unesco-listed town, and rightly so: 500-year-old houses flank a picturesque square full of life, delicious food and fine wine. The surrounding beaches attract both active swimmers and families with children to swim and relax. A beautiful pearl on the southern coast of Sicily - well worth a visit!

Having no knowledge of this place at all before arrival, initially it seemed a bit of a dump (we arrived from the north and couldn't find the way initially). Once we figured out you had to park in the residential area and walk to the village itself, we liked it a lot more! Many interesting shops (Campisi and Adelfio, for tuna, pistacchio, anchovy and tomato products) and lovely little restaurants and eating places near the fishing port. It was busy for a Saturday night in late October, but I dread to think how mobbed it gets in July - August, when I see the huge fields used for parking! I'd say avoid high season, apparently you can't get into restaurants and have to fight your way along the main street.

Marzamemi is a pretty little town, especially around the harbour and town square. It appears to hold several cultural events. A Book Festival was being held at the time of our visit, with specific activities for children. And, there were posters about a Film Festival that had been held in September. However a good understanding of Italian would be required to attend these events.
The bars and restaurants are mainly around the harbour and in the town square. They offered a variety of meals, mainly seafood as Marzamemi is/was a fishing village. The prices were all very similar, €15 - €20 for a main course, as was the quality.
The harbour offers the best photo opportunities especially at sunset.
Marzamemi is close to a coastal park area, you will need transport as I did not see any local buses, which gives you the opportunity to watch a variety of bird species including flamingos! There are ancient ruins and an abundance of wild plants. A fascinating area. As this area is very open I recommend you wear a hat. Also, there are a couple of shaded spots with cafe/bistro and seats.

A very busy seaside resort with all facilities necessary for a successful holiday, especially large number & range of restaurants. One problem was that due to our need to use the car to get to other end of resort we spent too much (usually €5 a time) on parking. Another blemish was that the one & only farmacia was closed when it should have been open. Limited grocery stores but some good supermarkets in nearby Pachino

Sadly we had much higher expectations of Marzamemi.
Sadly we had much higher expectations of Marzamemi. The town is an extremely busy tourist spot but because of this it really lacks any authentic feel and is defunct of true Sicilian culture. Disappointing visit.

This location is a must!
This location is a must! variety of shops, restaurants and café's is brilliant. Prices are very good and quality of food was exceptional.
Marzamemi is a vibrant town and wonderfully balmy nocturnal al fresco atmosphere that continues all through the month August. You can mingle open-air bars for 'aperitive hour' and can then choose from one of the excellent seafront fish restaurants. As night falls, the piazza is taken over by live bands and DJs who provide entertainment for anyone in a dancing mood...
I truly loved this town and will definitely return! Stayed at 'La casetta di Tina' that is within walking distance to the town centre!!!!
Very nice place to stay in Marzamemi, beach is close to the hotel, Antiguę city center is also very close. Good breakfast (only sweet one but for me italian breakfast is perfect), very good coffee. Both hosts are very nice and helpfull. Good that they have their own parking place so no issue with parking on the streets if you feel a little overwhelmed by italian way of driving the car :)
The property is based in a new, beautiful villa, overlooking the entire south-east coast of Sicily.
Next to the rooms, there is a wide green area where you can enjoy your breakfast but also relax any time of the day.
Parking is very comfortable, as there is enough space to fit all cars of the guests.
Owners are very kind with plenty of suggestions on what to do and where to go.
Wonderful little hotel. Old world charm meets beach style modern renovation. The room was just so adorable, and the deck was a big bonus. I loved sitting out there. The hotel overall is nicely appointed, clean and bright. Staff was all top notch as well and the owner answered every question I had promptly. Also, only a one minute walk from the iconic piazza!
Alice was an excellent host. Colour coded rooms that were clean and welcoming, with the use of a communal fridge. Well located for the nearest beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Marzememi. Easy to reach the Natural Reserve Vendicari by car and on street parking in front of the structure. Great breakfast in the garden and use of the hot tub.
Great location! Extremely cozy, perfect for a couple or a family of four. Location is prime! It is less than a 10min walk from Centro Storico. Parking in Marzamemi can be challenging. However, the host graciously provided free parking during our entire stay that was located a block away. What is there not to like about this place!
Everything was great! The location is super center and it has everything you need from the kitchen you can cook, washing machine, big rooms, and comfy bed. The place is spotlessly clean as well. She welcomed us like a family and we had a great time in Marzamemi. I highly recommend this beautiful place!
The location is really very good, a few meters from the beach, from the promenade and shops and restaurants, from a playground. The rooms was very comfortable as well and the owner friendly. Breakfast was really great.
The host stays above the apartment so she is easily accessible if you need anything. She brought us a taste of sicilian veggies. She was very kind and accommodating. The place was clean and had all the basics.

Agostino, at the bar, made us feel at home! grazie!!!
conveniently located near Noto, Marzamemi, Siracusa
Our room was looking over the sea. We woke up with waves and we slept with waves. We could just walk to the beach and the market square. The village is really small but the guest house location was great.
It is a beautiful villa, large space and perfect for a family. Location is perfect - next to the beach, walking distance to the town centre and all nice restaurants. Private lockable parking. We loved it!
A beautiful and impressive property full of history. Lovely grounds and an amazing pool. Staff were great throughout. Location perfect for visiting Marzamemi and the beached of San Lorenzo.
We had a great 2 night stay at this accomodation. Very modern room with nice balcony and good breakfast. Private parking and a 3 minute drive from Marzamemi centre or the beach.
