So picturesque! The restaurant, rooms, and garden were so tastefully designed and meticulously cared for. The staff were totally dialed, responsive, helpful, friendly.

One of the prettiest wine villages in the Barbaresco region (although they are all quite lovely). Surrounded by vineyards and excellent high quality local restaurants in the old centre. A couple of great pizza restaurants in the main village down the hill for when you want something a bit simpler. Many local wine villages to visit by car, although it is possible to walk via the “sentieri” paths if you can find a good map (not easy!). We walked to Barbaresco which was a lovely circular walk (about an hour and a half each way with lots of stops)

Neive is a small and beautiful hill town that is one of the main Barbaresco villages. There are a few decent restaurants in town. Also, has a few good wine bars. The countryside right outside town is great.

Neive is one of the nicest villages in Italy and the capital of Barbaresco wine (together with the Barbaresco village itself) which together with Barolo wine are among the two best red wines in Italy. Absolutely recommended for people loving the countryside, nature and good food & wine..

Nice hill side village.
Nice hill side village. However tourist beware that food , wine and accommodation are over priced for what is a nice but not marvellous location when compared to what is available in other parts of Italy. In hindsight I think we should have avoided this region of Piemont.

I loved the local Tajarine with mountain butter, with a glass of chilled roero arneis... It’s Italy at it’s best!

This is wine region heaven for anyone who appreciates real quality wines. It’s beautiful picturesque rolling hills are full of vines. The very character full grape variety Nebbiolo is widely grown in this area, with the best quality Barolo, Barbaresco wines produced. As well as robust reds, the white wine variety’s are definitely to be sampled, some of which are lesser known, but definitely deserve to be ranked very highly.
Enjoy the tranquility and savour the wines with local cheeses and magnificent foods.
We had the most wonderful stay here as a family with two kids. The staff was very attentive even before we arrived. They contacted us and recommended dinner options and made reservations for us. The aromatherapy suite was beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and had a beautiful view of the hills. Thoughtful amenities were available in the room and breakfast was delicious (eggs with parmesan, cream, and truffles). My husband is hard to please and said this was one of the best accomodations he has stayed in Italy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our much too short stay at L’Aromatario! The accommodations were lovely and our breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Catarina is the perfect hostess and made us feel completely at home during our visit. Our one regret is that we happened to be there the 2 nights their highly rated restaurant is closed during the week. Not to worry… just another reason for a return visit to the beautiful village of Neive and this magical property!
Great and charming place to stay in the historical centre of Neive. Alessandro, the host, gave us a very warm welcome - opening a bottle of local wine for us, even though we only arrived in Neive after 11pm at night. Breakfast can be added optionally and was left in front of our room in the morning, which is quite unique but was very nice. Nice restaurants and wine cellars in walking distance. We are looking forward to come back!
We had a warm welcome by the owner, he showed us our room and helped us to carry our luggage to the room. The room was very clean, with plenty of towels, soups and even slippers. The balcony had a lovely view. The breakfast was really superb, the best we had served in Italy, It included coffee, hazelnut cake that was delicious, pastries, yogurt, toast and fruits.
The location was great, in the heart of historical Neive.
Breakfast was great, delicious! Self service for drinks and wine work perfectly
It is about 10 minutes drive to Neive and 20 mins to Alba with lots of options of restaurants
We hired a van to take us to Barolo and Barbaresco for wine tasting
Wines are good although not as good as Brunellos
Definetely recommend the visit, perhaps until November to try truffle hunting
Right in the middle of the medieval village of Neive. Great views for the small balcony. Large and comfortable room, with free internet and all appliances. Large and clean bathroom. Super generous staff: we got a free room upgrade, and free extra coffee from the cafe downstairs. Great price with a huge and varied breakfast included.
We stayed 1 night in Nieve, a very nice village. The hotel was very authentic and perfectly located. we could park in front of the door. The room was very clean and equipped with every comfort. We were served a delicious freshly prepared breakfast by the very sympathetic hostess. Recommended!
I loved my stay here. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and clean, and breakfast is delicious. It feels like you are in the countryside, but is only a minute walk from the centre of Neive. The owner, Antonella, is so kind and friendly.
This was the most beautiful place. Neive is a quiet village in the Italian countryside. The hotel was absolutely lovely. The owners were attentive but relaxed. The rooms were beautiful and unique. We loved it.
Lovely b&b with a very attentive and friendly host, situated neatly near Asti and Alba. The bed was superb, the room large and well equipped. Nearby Neive has excellent food options. Very recommended.
Paolo is a great host and the place is set in the vineyards of Barbaresco. the rooms are spacious and very clean, great breakfast and very close to Neive. I’ll be back.
everything!!!! the location is stunning, the hotel was spotless clean, immaculately run and Benedetta the owner, is a fantastic host. and her breakfast was amazing.
