Ian was the perfect host, he kept in good contact before arrival, was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The apartment was perfect, central and spacious. Having the restaurant attached was an added bonus. I’ll most certainly return.

The view from the balcony was fairy tale like. We rested our mind and recharged our batteries. The apartment inside is also fairy tale like , all the details are well thought of, and the place was very clean. We felt right at home. We highly recommend this place❤️

It was close to perfect, every detail , the bed very comfortable, very complete kitchen, dishwasher and a washing machine, big terrace with a fantastic view over the town, and a bit of the lake, air-conditioning in each room
Super quiet location but still almost in the middle of town

Ask your hotel hosts for the right road to Nemi, because the GPS did not always work for me there, as there are many high cliffs that interrupt the ability of the GPS to work right. To Nemi, travel the road through Genzano and around the lake, do not take the “shorter” high road, as you will end up on the wrong side of Nemi, and just have to drive down and around anyway. This happened to me, LOL. Also, that road is extremely narrow. Park at the edge of Nemi, and then walk in. This town is less accessible to those traveling by wheel chair or who have trouble walking up hill. The views over Lake Nemi are breathing taking. Lastly, do not miss the Roman Naval Museum.

It is a fantastic, fabulous, very romantic place with an unforgettable atmosphere and beautiful panoramas. There are paths through the forest of Diana to the lake, to the museum of antique ships. A lot of restaurants with local food (wild pig, mushrooms, a fish from the lake) and cafes with strawberries as a local specialty.

The picturesque village, the view of the lake and the Nemi-...
The picturesque village, the view of the lake and the Nemi-ships museum was the best experience, along with icecream-bars serving those famous delicious "wild" strawberries. We also experienced a couple of good restaurants. However in the late afternoon hours most restaurants and shops were closed, so one must learn to adjust to the rural Italian way of life in Nemi. One restaurant that was advertising for pizza only served pizza in the weekend.
The ruins of the Diana temple we searched for sweating in the heat, but we didn't find it due to incoherent marking of signs, so we gave up. Nevertheless, all in all Nemi is a charming and interresting place well worth visiting for a couple of days.
Four days in Nemi and the surrounding Castelli Romani are a gem, about La Fontanella. Maria and Carlo were so helpful and welcoming, the stay was very good, the place is very typical ,Swedish at heart , every item in the house has a story to tell.Cosy and clean with all facilities working. We used a rental car for roaming around, parking is available within 5 mins from la Fontanelle, full access is available to the property for pickup/unloading.
December 13th 2023, no tourists around we had all of Nemi for us! Roberto
Private kind of secret entrance next to the coffee shop. Quite the incredible view from the balcony. A very nice space for us, with a stovetop that we used to cook up the pork crackling that we bought at the meat monger across the street. Right in the heart of the village, lots to see and do and plenty of food and drink options. We thought we may have stayed a day too long in Italy, but Nemi was a cool and special little place.
The apartment was in an excellent location in the tiny town of Nemi. I was looking for a quiet retreat for a couple of days and this was perfect. Very clean, moderately equipped. I appreciated the hair dryer and the nespresso coffee maker. As a solo female traveler, i was happy to find a very sturdy front door and lock. The balcony was icing on the cake.
This is a charming little studio flat with all mod coms. It is located in the old burgh of Nemi, which appears to eb the oldest part of the town (which by itself is very old as well). The flat has a large balcony with stunning views on the lake and surrounding forest. It is an ideal vantage point to roam around lake Nemi and the Castelli Romani area.
The property located inside Nemi. We came for single night. We arrived at night and leave the next morning. The location was good for us since we were able to walk in the night around the lake below and then continue with our vacation. The property is very nice with kitchen and big sleeping room. There is also nice view of the lake
The house is heaven on earth overlooking Nemi Lake. It has all the commodities one needs. If you're looking for peace And tranquility you have found your accommodation. The bed is very comfortable and there is Italian coffee in abundance through the coffee machine including a fully workable kitchen with all the utensils one needs.
Giuseppe and Alessia were incredible hosts! They were extremely nice and helpful. Made us a special vegan breakfast to our request.
This is in addition to the beautiful place they have with an amazing view.
If you are around Nemi, this is the place to stay.
If you aren't, you should change your plans and stay there.
The property is very close to the centre of Nemi, which is great for restaurants, cafe bars, and shops. The scenery and views are spectacular close by. The property is very good with a small balcony to relax on during the evening. The host Horst is an excellent communicator, and so nothing is too hard to resolve.
The location was perfect, just in the center of the beautiful village of Nemi. On the ground floor, there is a good bar where you can have a good breakfast, including the typical tarts with wild strawberries, a local specialty. The apartment was extremely clean, all the facilities were available.
Il Lago di Nemi Is a beautiful, tranquil, and perfectly maintained bed and breakfast. Giuseppe and Alessia are excellent hosts and are extremely knowledgeable about the area. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and interesting sites in the area.
The owners, Giuseppe & Alessia, were gracious and their property was immaculate and very comfortable. The location was quiet and we had a very nice breakfast on the roof top overlooking Lake Nemi. We highly recommend this gem on the lake.
The room seemed to be a converted apartment. There was a lot of space, a separate bedroom with a lake view, a living room area with a comfy couch, and the location was on top of everything happening in Nemi for la sagra delle fragole!
The only thing which we liked was the small Nemi town, which was very beautiful. If you want to have a real small Italian town experience not too far away from Rome, this small town is perfect for that.
Beautiful B&B with great views of Lake Nemi. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Recently renovated. Tastefully decorated. Breakfast on the roof with a wonderful view.
