Villa Cozzano (VC) is a charming, rustic place. It delivers on expectations! The staff was Wonderful -- interesting, young, multinational, attentive, personable individuals who truly understand the meaning of hospitality. Every single person (Manuel, Sophie, Tomas, Humza, "Chef Jimmy" and Geraldine) made us feel very welcome and comfortable. They conversed with us when we desired conversation (conveying sincere warmth and often humor), and gave us our space and privacy when they sensed we desired peace and quiet reflection. VC is a refurbished school and supporting structures, that is somewhat remote and very peaceful -- a place to appreciate nature and the gorgeous views. We loved the quaintness of the place -- which had modern-good-quality amenities like thick comfortable towels, and towel warmers in the bathroom, slippers and thermostats to control the temperature in our apt. (we had a two bedroom suite with beautiful views and a front porch/terrace where we sat to enjoy our wine, coffee with pastries and scenery). We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Jimmy -- laughed a lot and ate what we made for lunch.

We were delighted to find that our hotel was actually inside the castle walls. We were steps away from cafes, restaurants and great little shops. The views from around the castle walls were fantastic. We were greeted by warmly by Simone who told us where to park and a little about the area and the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel was warm and charming. Highly recommend.

The hotel was in a very quiet neighbourhood, but very close to the lake and 10 minutes walk from city center. The room was very spacious and it had a big bed. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bathroom was very complete and comfortable. There was a fridge available. The rooms are actually cabins with the door going outside directly, which is very good for COVID. Breakfast was typical Italian with salty and sweet food that you could select yourself. There were some homemade tasty cakes. The staff was incredible friendly; they recommended us good restaurants around and they helped us contact us the bikes rent place after we could not deliver the bikes on time. The parking is wide and it was enough. The hotel had pool and an area to stay and relax.

The Hotel Duca Della Corgna is surrounded by a garden and is set on the border of the two enchanting regions of Umbria and Tuscany.

It’s an Walking distance to train station and a few restaurants. Longer walk to old city but very doable, if you’re good with walking. The restaurants in the castle/old city were really nice with fantastic views. We loved the sunset from the castle. The hotel Staff is great, they are cheerful and helpful. Rooms are pretty nice, breakfast is continental but the make nice coffee. We rented e-bikes and biked the entire lake which was a highlight.

Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub.

The host was lovely and helpful, recommending the restaurant and whats around us. She was great to communicate and speaks french english and italian. The location is amazing, surrounded by the toscan mountains and plains. The house is huge and beautiful, well conserved and renovated. Truly what we expected out of the toscan region. We loved everything about this property, the owner, staff, and location. If you are anywhere near Castiglione del Lago, this boutique hotel is a must. We felt like honored guests here. Paolo and his family made our stay so comfortable and welcoming we didn't want to leave!

Big rooms, extremely helpful staff at the front desk, beautiful views, spa facilities are quite fancy. The jacuzzi in our room did not initially work, but staff was very responsive in getting it fixed and compensating us for the inconvenience.

Residence Al Lago is just 328 feet from Lake Trasimeno and 820 feet from Castiglione del Lago's historic center. The residence features a large garden with swimming pool.
