We were pleasantly surprised at just how beautiful, modern, and exceptional our stay at Cortefreda was. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous bathroom, balcony, and even a sauna (which was a nice little surprise!) The breakfast was delicious and they served their locally made honey. The restaurant is also delicious and convenient. Staff was pleasant and the facilities were clean and functional. I'd definitely stay here again!

The location is very quiet and off the beaten path, which made is perfect for us getting away from our busy lifestyle. We were able to enjoy a few events at the Tenuta Torciano Winery in addition to spending a day in San Gimignano and take in Tuscan landscapes.

We wanted a quiet villa in Tuscany…we got that in this 500 yr old…well maintained…working farm/villa. Our hostess was so welcoming and encouraged us to be “at home” there. Good breakfast a d on one night Simona cooked us a fabulous candlelight Tuscan meal to enjoy under the huge chestnut tree. The wine they produce was some of the best I have had. We had a lovely stay here! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the place has character (in a good way!), it felt unique, comfortable and cozy. It added to our overall experience in Certaldo Alto and the area in general. The breakfasts were delicious, and were lucky to dine in their restaurant one evening for a delicious vegan meal. Enjoying the views and perhaps a spritz from the terrace was also enjoyable. Erik was a wonderful, kind host always available to help with anything or offer recommendations. Thank you!

Comfortable, well equipped, very clean rooms. We all loved staying there. My daughter is already asking when we will go there again. And the restaurant: great Tuscany food. Florentine steak to die for. Katia and her team make you feel welcome. It was like a family reunion dinner. One thing though. If she says steak size enough for you, believe me you will want a bigger one even though you are fully stuffed.
