We enjoyed a lot the huge rooms (compared to other hotels in Japan), the size of the bed and the good quality of the mattress & pillows, the nice decoration, the friendly and English speaking staff, the free parking lot, the pleasant rest area to gather with the family, the great location in Odai. This place is a hidden gem. We felt so lucky to have stumbled on it. I don’t remember the other reviews talking about the exceptional food. We were served such a feast at dinner, including sukiyaki and a delicious grilled fish. When I asked what type of fish we were eating, the owner pointed out the window. When I looked at where he was pointing, I realized we were eating fresh fish from a pond just outside the window. Please note that the owner is also a dog breeder so there are many dogs on the property. The dogs are not roaming free so you won’t see them, but you will hear barking. The inn is simple, but very comfortable. The owners are very kind

the location is beautiful, convenient for hiking, and peaceful, the family is friendly, and the guesthouse is awesome, I slept really well on the tatami mats and with the sound of crickets. hope to come back sometime
