The service was spectacular.
Every detail of the kaiseki dinner was special, it was in the private room and the access was easy and with privacy.
We got a bedroom with a private onsen. The temperature of the water was perfect.
You have to choose the hour of the dinner and breakfast, then I understood the reason, it was meticulously prepared for you.

Top notch kaiseki dinner, comfortable traditional tatami rooms, onsens are great, especially the private bath. The onsen water is very nice in Noboribetsu.

Shikotu Toya National Park is wonderful, so much to see and explore. The onsen at the Grand hotel were amazing, very relaxing. I would have liked to visit the Ainu museum at Shiroai, but we didn't have time. The Cultural exchange centre near Noboribetsu Station was very interesting though, and they had excellent ice creams.

The hot baths, buffet breakfast with many local delicacies and location, being just beside the Hell Valley is worth experiencing. However, pricing may be a bit steep for the size of the room we stayed.

If the weather is good, I would recommend going up the Observatory where one could view the entire Lake Toya.
Not to be missed is the Jigokudani - Hell Valley and must try the onsen there. Very tourist friendly (surprisingly big towels were provided).
There was a nice cafe near Lake Toya which serves very good pizza.

The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath.
The hometown of Onsen a.k.a the hotspring bath. Hotel in here is kinda on the expensive end, it could cost you almost $400-500/night but it you want to have a nice and good experience it's worth it. There's a few tourist attraction but not much but you can take a bus to a 10mnt near town which is more lively, there's also a ninja village which a must visit for a ninja fans, food is good overall and hokkaido is known as a Miso prefecture, drown yourself into a miso ramen nearby and taste a heaven soup breath life into your cold body in winter which is the best time to visit here around dec - feb. definitely would come again next year after the travel ban lifted ^^
This onsen hotel is located in the heart of noboribetsu, just 3 mins away from jigokudani. Amazing spread and variety for dinner and breakfast buffet, and a dedicated kids play space and even kids dinner buffet spread (no one pointed it out to us, but we chanced upon it luckily). The onsen and rooms are old but well maintained, and the hotel can get quite crowded with big groups coming in but the hotel is well-equipped for that. The price point is also extremely reasonable.
Best location in noboribetsu onsen for view of jigokudani from grand bath. Bathing facilities were exceptional with multiple baths to choose from and peaceful open air baths. Kaiseki dinner at Yunosato was delicious - seasonal, local produce. Breakfast buffet had lots of variety and good options to suit every taste Rooms were comfortable, staff were very friendly - English-speaking staff were present which also helped!
The onsen wasn't as luxurious as we thought it would be, but we had a good time. Bath was big and hot, with outside and inside variants. I definitely recommend the outside bath on floor 7 on the north building. Hotel even had karaoke rooms and some arcade and crane machines on floor B1. Food was all-you-can eat for both breakfast and dinner, which was really good and plentiful.
Breakfast was too late for an early departure 8am so didn’t get any.
Wooden floors are creaky and were extremely noisy. You can hear constant walking up and down the stairs even with earplugs so didn’t get much sleep with was annoying.
I wouldn’t recommend staying in Noboribetsu. The Onsen town or muroran would have been a wiser choice.
It was centrally located, the Adex Cafe was warm, inviting and served good food, my room was spacious and best of all, guests had access to the grand onsen Daiichi Takimotokan across the street. Wow, so many bathing choices in a lux onsen. Was duly impressed. But I enjoyed the smaller, informal and relaxing vibe at Adex Inn more.
Staff was so incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Location was perfect and easily reachable with public transport (they do offer a pickup from Noboribetsu station).
The room was cozy, clean and quiet.
Dinner and breakfast was delicous and beautifully presented.
The onsen was amazing!
Great small ryokan with excellent food, the friendliest staff anywhere on our 2.5 week trip in Japan. Wonderful small onsen open 24 hours/day also convenient. Just a short walk up the hill to “Hell’s Valley” was one of the more memorable experiences of the entire trip.
very spacious suite with private onsen. in room onsen is clean and spacious. modern design gives you simplicity and cleaniness. Japanese restaurant is good price with good food(we were the only customer there for dinner). Buffet breakfast offered large varieties.
Great facilities especially the indoor/outdoor onsens
Staff was very helpful despite the language barrier
Room was clean enough
Hotel is old but well maintained
Buffet breakfast included and offers good selection
Onsen a bit small but water quality is great. The location of this hotel is good , within walking distance from the bus station and to the Hell Valley. During winter time, this makes it easier for us to move around.
Lovely country style ryokan hotel in the heart of Noboribetsu. Easy access to Hells Valley And surrounding country walks, shops and tourist spots. great onsen experience with really potent Geo thermal waters.
The room is bigger but the bathroom is very small,as small as the washroom in the airplane. But the good thing is we can go to the Onsen hotel opposite to taking bath or enjoy onsen for free!
I was a little hesitant after I booked but am extremely satisfied with the service, kaiseki dinner, breakfast and private onsen. Right in the heart of city center and to attractions.
Onsen was fantastic. Room was very spacious. Great location as it is directly in front of the bus stop. Breakfast was good with a wide a right of food. Hotel is well managed.
