This is a very authentic Japanese experience! Highly recommend it. The property is Japanese style and the owner was a great host - she prepared dinner and breakfast for us, and it was unique… She’s also super sweet and kind.
If you’re only staying one night, I would recommend to plan ahead your arrival (it’s 3 hours away from Tokyo) to make sure you’re able to enjoy a nice hike on the afternoon, as you won’t be able to do a lot during the morning of the check-out.

I liked that it was isolated from busy city Tokyo and that it was super close to nature and the mountain. The hospitality of the host was unmatched, the food dishes were delicious and hearty.
