Spacious and comfortable room with excellent beds and air-con. Big beautiful trees surrounded large pool in peaceful rural setting. Chef Akile prepared delicious food eaten in elevated restaurant to catch the breeze. Highlight was the fun billiard/ pool comp with lovely hosts and other guests on Saturday night, as well as the temples and stupas we visited.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Miridiya Lake Resort, conveniently located on the edge of Nuwara Wewa, just a stone's throw from Anuradhapura town. Our room was lovely and spacious , nicely decorated, nicely furnished, clean, good bathroom, nice little balcony to sit out. Very high ceilings on the first floor rooms. Good air conditioning. Comfy bed and pillows. Electric shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Would have been nice to have coffee & tea making facilities in the room. Location was OK but we think the location of any hotel is not the best owing to the large area covered by the ruins. Unfortunately, you really need a tuk tuk to get anywhere. Restaurants were hard to find close to the hotel. The hotel does provide breakfast at extra cost, we did not have breakfast as we decided to eat out. The WiFi in our room was not good, infact is, was the worst we'd experienced in our five weeks of travelling in Srilanka. Otherwise all was good.

The owner, Dr Waidyaratne's customer service was exceptional. The place is newly built and everything works. Rooms, bathrooms, bedding were clean.The place is better than stock photos on booking.com. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Anuradhapura.
