I like the hotel because of its location, cleanliness and customer service at the reception. I did not like the restaurant and its staff because they do not serve enough food at the breakfast even though you pay for it. If you do not go to breakfast early, you only get some leftovers. Sigulda is a great place to overcome obstacle courses located in the treetops. In the "Mežakakais" adventure park, you will be challenged by 6 tracks with 82 obstacles of varying difficulty. On the other hand, in the largest open-air adventure park in the Baltics - Tarzāns, you will not only be able to climb 20 meters above the ground, but also go down the toboggan track. Very beautiful and rather small town in Vidzeme. I can say the most beautiful town during the fall season. There are very nice spots for obsevation and many interesting activities in which you can participate. It's good chose for family trip and trips with pets. There are a lot of hiking trails, historical paces such as Siguldas Castle and Turaides Castle, very beautifyl river side of Guaja river, a lot ot places for piknik. A good supermarket is across the road and other shops are in walking distance. The wifi worked well and there was a fridge in the room. Kakis operates a mensa restaurant offering plenty of Latvian food. Prices are excellent but breakfast is included so there is no reason to be hungry. And I recommend to use their climbing tracks when traveling with family (used second day), not Tarzan park (went third day). Why? Much less crowd + difficulties were for every level.
