it is a beautiful place to be, to enjoy the food at "food market" or "mercado de comida". Peaceful place since I did not see violence, there are homemade products or "artesanal", products that looks "well done" but you have to check them closely. Food everywhere and be careful because it comes hot and spicy so be advice. Any kind of prices, from low to high and it's up to you to spent it or save it. There are tours to water falls, motor rides, hiking, etcetera. Just go and enjoy it. Maybe this is important -> 50% English around it.

An incredible place to visit.
An incredible place to visit. I really enjoyed the food and how safe and cozy is the location. Also, the waterful inside the mountain is incredibly beautiful. I have never seen anything like that before. Without a doubt, I'm planning to return one day.
Can I recommend something else? Grab a cup of Pot Coffee or some Sierra Eggs, you won't regret your choices!

Zacatlan is a gem and we can see why it is one of the Pueblos Magicos. Lots of interesting streets to check out - especially the Murals done in mosaic tiles, the cemetery, the VitroMurales street, the mercado on Fridays and Sundays. The people are gracious and friendly. The food - delicious!! Definitely make the trip if it is close to where you are planning to go.

Beautiful views , needed more time to visit the waterfalls and for hiking also cod tastings and visiting a cider distillery. Easy to get around, small, great craft market and good coffee shops. Amazing chocolate shop - Malaga
Great restaurant on outskirts, Altavista, view and labyrinth garden.
Great hotel for the price you pay, I'll give it 4 stars. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are well, just rooms with a bed. Clean, with a functioning bathroom. Shower takes a while to heat up, but no big deal. Great location. Did not have the opportunity to enjoy their breakfast, as we were out early mornings. Breakfast started at 9am when we were there. Did not true the Wi-Fi speed, but I know it worked.
The hotel is located by the edge of the mountain but still quite close to the centre. The room is facing the mountain valley and the famous waterfall of Tuliman. The view was amazing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 the staffs are kind and the room was clean. Even though the facilities are just basic but we got all we need. And considering the breathtaking view it was a worthy deal. Very recommended.
The location is rural but you benefit from starry nights, camp fires and a running stream next to you :) and it’s very quiet. Great location for visiting nearby pueblos mágicos (Zacatlán and Chignahuapan). The breakfast is filling and there are some limited lunch/dinner options. Good for walks and hikes. The cabins are warm and cozy, and the staff are helpful with requests.
The hosts were very nice and attended to our every need. The view was unbeatable and the location was great as it was very close to zacatlan center but far enough to be surrounded by only rural area. The breakfast was great; giving a choice for everyones likings. The rooms and the premises are exactly as shown in the pictures. The staff was extremely friendly.
Comfortable room with sufficient electrical outlets, nice bathroom, good wifi. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the town center, but close to the canyon (la barranca), with excellent views. If you have a car, the hotel has a huge parking lot.
The property’s new and it’s thoughtfully detailed. The beds are good. It is located right in the main square and there’s tons of food a few steps away. The staff is really friendly and try very hard to be helpful; they may be the best thing about the hotel. Breakfast is fair.
great property, excellent location, but most important was the people. Family- father, son and grandson were extremely nice, helpful and accommodating. They did absolutely amazing job to make us feel at home!
we definitely will be back. And highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was perfect ! The room, the view, the service of Daniel !
We had an amazing stay in Hotel Altavista and Daniel was ready to help at anytime and made us discover some food wonders of the streets of Zacatlán ! :)
100% recommended !
Fantastic view high above the town. Lovely restaurant associated with the hotel. Limited menu but excellent service and food. Breakfast was included. Receptionist spoke perfect English and was super helpful with ideas and tour booking.
I loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's relatively new, 2 yrs old, so all fixtures were new and working. For the price, I would stay there again and again.
Hotel far from the center of the city. No breakfast nor any way to eat near the hotel. Smart tv in the room but useless as the remote control for that TV screen was so useless!!!
Lovely little hotel, not too far from city centre - it was easy to walk, even with small kids. Rooms small but comfortable and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
