The hotel has the most wonderful location in the middle of the woods and the hotel itself and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the weather let us down so we could not spend too much time by the pool, or cycling around the area but as the pool is heated we managed to have a quick swim before we left.
Of course due to Covid we were restricted to having dinner and breakfast in our room but they made the very best out of a difficult situation, from the champagne at 6pm to the delicious and ample breakfast the next morning.
I can imagine that Christmas here would be truly magical with all the fireplaces on and the hotel decorated beautifully and so I look forward to coming back.

On approaching the hotel after parking our car my grandson...
On approaching the hotel after parking our car my grandson exclaimed that it looked just like a castle ! And he was right. The reception area was very spacious - long marbled floor hallway with elegant sitting areas and play areas for the children (games and books) with the dining restaurant and breakfast room situated off the hallway; very light and spacious. Ermelo itself was a short drive away with plentiful places to eat outdoors, many people taking advantage of this being a Saturday night. Lots of people on their bikes, hardly any cars most being left in the parking areas. We are looking forward to returning in December.
Ermelo is beautiful and the Locations is good, and the staff at the restaurants for breakfast are friendly staff and helpful and one middle old lady at reception is friendly too, but the most (not all) is absolutely not, they will smile if you first smiles and says hello if you first do (unfriendly like hotel employees in general).
The terrace at the hotel is amazing the room is big just sad is dirty, I HOPE THEY WILL DO BETTER FOR THE FUTURE & TO OTHER GUESTS. A clean rooms and friendly staff 🙏🏽🥰
Location is great, close to camping facilities yet far enough for privacy. 5 mins bicycle ride to Ermelo city centre and Albert Heijn supermarket. Quality restaurant just down the road. Cottage came with a beautiful, private garden which was unexpected. A really charming stay, you can feel that there’s a lot of love poured into the property. Another wonderful thing is that you can order fresh bread/pastries for breakfast at the reception for a small cost!
We loved how the place looks. It was a great size for 3 people (4 could be a squeeze). Our dogs had a place to stretch their legs and we had the jacuzzi to rest our muscles after a long day of running. The kitchen and bathroom were great. Its just important to remember that initially the house comes empty (no toilet paper, towels, linen, washer stuff etc) so read this part as we somehow didn’t see it!
Very nice place to stay, it has both easy access to the nature and the convenience of small supermarket, restaurant and swimming pool within the area. The little house is well equipped and the staff were friendly.
(We took the bus between Ermelo station and Paalberg and it was fine. Be careful with the timing as it is not frequent and it does not hurt to be a bit earlier than the timetable.)
The code to the lockbox was sent in advance and worked well. Room to park 2 cars. Lovely yard. Nice kitchen (although there is no microwave or freezer). Living room was big and the chairs were comfortable. Good WiFi. Quiet neighborhood. We accidentally locked the keys in the house and the hosts retrieved them for us and returned them to the lockbox.
It was the second time my son and his girlfriend stayed here, and they enjoyed it for the second time better.
The host was friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. And breakfast was sufficient and good. We are definitely coming back.
The house was extremely clean, neat, very well renovated and comfortable (easy and efficient floor heating, all taps and drains maximally functional, nice soaps in the bathroom). The yard, the park and surroundings are quiet, lovely, green and fresh.
Location perfect for cycling to work and for pleasure. Chalet was very clean and well equipped. Great shower and enjoyed the other facilities on site like the pool and bicycle hire. Room was very quiet and it's a very friendly place.
Great place to stay to enjoy beautiful nature around.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant and service was great.
The hotel is very family friendly, with many possible activities and attention to details for the younger guests.
