Trolltunga/Folgefonna Camp house, hotel in Gausvik

Offering a garden, Trolltunga/Folgefonna Camp house features accommodations in Jondal. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk....

The location, the cabin, the available facilities and things we could use (fishing rods, bicycles, toiletries), it was all amazing! The host was also very welcoming and encouraged us to use the fishing rods, even helped us find our way up one of the mountains nearby! The area is super secluded, so if that's something you enjoy I totally recommend this place!

Rosendal Hyttetun, hotel in Gausvik

Providing a garden, Rosendal Hyttetun provides accommodations in Rosendal. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

Just as it says, this is a camping ground with cabins for rent. The campground has a main building with a beautiful kitchen and lots of communal showers and a free washer and dryer (bring your own laundry soap). Kitchen has no spices whatsoever, so if you are cooking your meal, have all the spices/cooking oil you need. It is a 40 minute walk to Rosendal Kai (where you get the boat to Salmon Eye & town center with stores). There are buses, but they dont run often so check the schedule. The hike to town is beautiful if the weather is kind, and you'd have to hike for about 10 mins on the highway until the sidewalk appears at Neslia Bus stop. The grounds are very beautiful and peaceful. I never thought that I'd be camping by myself, but for that incredible Iris restaurant experience, it's worth it. Rosendal is a sleepy town, and it seems to me that restaurants are barely open, and if they are the choice for food is quite small. Maybe the town is open more during the weekends? But if you're here on the weekdays, I'd say having access to a full kitchen to make your own food is essential. Public transportation from Stavanger to here is possible (5.5 hrs), and so is public transportation out to Oslo (7.5 hrs). It's multiple bus/ferry transfers, but the ride is amazingly picturesque you dont want to sleep during the entire time.

Thon Hotel Sandven, hotel in Gausvik

With an beautiful location by the Hardangerfjord, this elegant hotel features traditional décor, a waterfront garden and free Wi-Fi. The impressive Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall is a 5-minute drive away....

The breakfast was the largest and best free breakfast we have ever had at a hotel! The historic side of the hotel was fantastic for a coffee/tea break and meals. We had a very large (two-bedroom) suite in the newer wing of the hotel. It included a kitchen where we baked a supermarket pizza one evening. The balcony had a beautiful view looking down the fjord.
