The tranquility of the eco-friendly trees, plants and beach. The place was quit. I loved the benefit of several seafood restaurants nearby within walking distance. The local town & fish port just a tricycle ride away. At night the resort is lit up with Christmas decorations which present a wonderful holiday ambiance. The island hopping was a fantastic experience the last time we were here. This time the weather did not cooperate. We had excellent food and rooms at Solina Resort which we really like. This was our second time at this resort and we will be going back again. There are many other resorts to choose from at different price ranges. Not much to see and do in Carles itself but it is a good location to start tour to Las islas de gigantes. Although the islands are awesome, they are quite a distance from Carles port, thus the time alloted per island for a day tour was quite short. I would like to come back and maybe stay at least overnight in one of the islands.cho-eynPhilippines
