Kryvorivnya is a small mountain village that witnessed some dramatic historical events and was a place where some prominent Ukrainian and Polish writers and politicians lived and worked. There are museums dedicated to those leaders and to local traditions and crafts. Local people still maintain many Hutsul customs.
