LOVE this remodeled Retro 60s Motel.. We met halfway my fiance and I) between Nashville and his hometown of Williamsburg, VA. Affordability sacrifices luxury, but the facilities are moderately comfy.. A bit basic, including furnishings, but clean and shopping and good restaurants nearby. A few historic sights and exceptional views of the Blue Ridge Mts.

This is an okay but basic place to stay for a night. My room was recently remodeled with new paint, flooring, fixtures and furniture. It was clean and quiet (I had no adjacent neighbors). It has outside corridors, no breakfast, no swimming pool etc. but a friendly and helpful staff. It did have a big TV and wifi but I did not try either one. It was very okay for a night and was a good value.

Wonderful place to visit with an excellent museum and a wonderful downtown area featuring great restaurants, cute shops, and an interesting artist studio area. Highly recommend dining at 128 Pecan-- what an incredible restaurant, and the King Museum featured one of the better traveling exhibitions I've ever experienced during our stay. One of my very favorite places to stop when going through Abingdon is the Southwest Virginia Cultural Center and Marketplace: make it a go-to destination for gift shopping and supporting local Virginia artists. I've found so many beautiful things there!

There are some very beautiful areas around Abingdon Virginia. The Martha Washington Inn is right up the street, and a very historic place to visit. There is also the Cave House where Daniel Boone stayed at one point, and I am CONVINCED is haunted. There is a tavern that has been in business and open since the late 1700s in downtown as well. Not to mention the Barter theater, which anyone who knows anything about drama would love to visit.

The space was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly and the shower, without a tub, was outstanding. I hate trying to climb into a tub to take a shower. Being a senior citizen, this is very important to me. Sliding doors were perfect. Thank you.

Not only great places in town to visit but a great jumping off point for points of interest in the area. Both stays (summer and fall) were initiated by tickets to shows at the Lincoln Theatre and we added walking and biking the Virginia Creeper Trail as a great outdoor activity. We plan to revisit in the future and explore other outdoor activities.
The breakfasts were very good...hot waffles, eggs and plenty of options. However, very limited supply. Things run out and they don't refill throughout the breakfast times.
The bed was very comfortable and all linens were clean. However, its up to us guests to be courteous and not leave makeup and other tough stains on them.
Location was excellent, near the interstate and just a short drive from downtown Abingdon.
It was a last minute booking and I'm so glad I chose to say here! Excellent price, warm caring reception, super clean and wonderful room (fire place and more!), and close to all sorts of near by fun. The owners take alot of pride in the hotel and it;s evident. Excellent experience! I will stay here again when I'm in the area!
Lovely hotel that was centrally located to all the hiking we wanted to do. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast had many options to keep us well fueled for our active days. I'd definitely book here again!
Of all the hotel chains, I think I like the Country Inn and Suites the best. Staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful, and courteous. Breakfast is top notch. Beds are very comfortable and the room is very nice.
The room was very spacious and the owner very helpful. Beautiful location and close to anything you'd want to do in Abingdon. Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom, nice TV. Plenty of room to dance if you wanted.
The room was spacious, clean with modern decor, comfortable bed, the staff greeted us every time we returned to the hotel, and it was close to Walmart and Lowes.. The movie theater was right down the street.
The location was excellent, in terms of ease of access to the rest of Abingdon. There wasn't much of a view from my room, but that was more than compensated for by the amenities and the quality of staffing.
Receptionist was very personable. Hotel was conveniently located. Room was clean and serviceable. I wouldn't stay here for a long time but it was a very good price for a convenient, comfortable room.
Alpine has been the motel at this exit since I was a kid. It’s family and locally owned. It’s a nice simple motel. Stay there every year when I come to Abingdon to fly fish.
Best stay at a hotel EVER! We wanted to take the bed with us and hated to leave! Housekeeping staff and front desk very friendly! We will be back soon!
