Our Complementary breakfast was presented in a picnic basket at doorstep at bottom of the staircase to be carried up the narrow steep staircase. Very traditional "countryside" menu.
The entire accommodation was very "French countryside" basic from the 19 century motif. Sparse yet comfy.

Convenient location, close to a major road. The room was nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were great. Steve recommended a very nice restaurant and places to visit. We loved his oversized paperweight on his desk. That he carried 3 miles! Coffee and banana bread were delicious! We enjoyed talking with Steve!

We drove up to Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor and rented bikes from Leticia at Island Bikes in Northeast Harbor, then rode the bikes on the carriage roads to Jordan Pond House to enjoy a delicious lunch with their famous popover treats! The bike ride back to NEH was capped off with drinks & a snack at the quaint restaurant next door to the bike rental shop. Fantastic end to an active day!
One day we visited the local farmers market where we gathered fresh veggies for meals and enjoyed some of the best fresh pretzels and bagels and ciabatta ever!
Another day, we picked up fresh fish and crab cakes at Delano’s to fix for dinner.
Time at the cabin was spent taking the row boat out to the loon’s island home on Biscay Pond, or enjoying meals cooked together, or playing board games around the table on the screened in porch until the wee hours!
