Burlington is small and very hard to find a place to eat.

Burlington is small and very hard to find a place to eat. We tried a Mexican restaurant and sat there for 25 minutes with no service so we left. Burlington does offer a great spot to stop for the night on our long travel to Oklahoma City.

I would not recommend this property.

I would not recommend this property. It was run down and no hot water. The office door was smashed. It was weird having flies in the room and there were swatters which we used. The beds were worn out and no smoke alarm.

We detoured significantly from our journey to see the Kit Carson County Carousel. We were very pleased to have made the effort to see this historic and fun Burlington attraction. The staff at the merry-go-round were very friendly and informative, and the antique ride itself (1905) was beautiful and fascinating. Rides were on the hour and half hour for 25 cents, and the excellent museum's admission was $1. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

The 1908 Carousel which is a National Historic Landmark.

The 1908 Carousel which is a National Historic Landmark. The Dish Room which serves gourmet meals, excellent drinks and wonderful service! We will stay in Burlington again just so we can try another item at the Dish Room.

My biggest comment on Burlington is that the town closes...

My biggest comment on Burlington is that the town closes early, most places by 9 pm. As a traveler, from a large city, I am accustomed to late night access to dining and groceries. There was a wide assortments of PLACES to eat, but with a late night arrival, not many open. If I had arrived earlier in the day, there was convenient access to parking and exploring areas around town.

Burlington is a small town with plenty of dining options.

Burlington is a small town with plenty of dining options. Unlike towns of a similar size, there were no sirens blaring during the night. It’s easy to navigate. The chile rellenos breakfast at The Farm Grill was amazing!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't think I've encountered a nicer group of hotel staff. The room was clean and comfortable, with a decent (reasonably firm) mattress on the bed. We appreciated the full-sized refrigerator in our room, because we had frozen food with us. Breakfast was good, lots of carb selections. Although my husband, who is diabetic, missed the non-carb options, such as eggs, he found plenty of good fruit to eat.

The location is perfect. We stay at this motel whenever we visit Colorado 2 times a year. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a very nice renovated room that was meticulously clean. I loved the lighting in the bathroom. It is better than most hotels we have stayed in. The TV has a nice large screen. We would recommend this motel to anyone traveling through Burlington.

The location was great. The view was great, even though there is nothing really to look at but, nothing beats a Colorado eastern plans sunrise :) Everything is located close. Loved that there was a full sized fridge and a small stove top in my room. Burlington is my home town and this is my new place to stay when I come HOME!

The room compared to other hotels I've stayed at such as Days Inn, Baymont, Quality Inn, Super 8, etc and yet the price was very reasonable. Single story building, so no walking up stairs dragging up the luggage. Was able to park right in front of our room.
