The surprisingly comfortable Murphy bed allowed more space to move about during the day in this studio room. Well-equipped kitchen area. Quiet. Location is excellent. It’s truly ski in ski out with a very very short walk to the Poma lift which then gets you right to Ramcharger or the Swift Current lift. The Poma is a platter pull T-bar style lift, so you must be familiar with that or could be a little challenging. If the road is snow-covered, you can literally ski right back to the front door. It’s also a short walk to the mountain village, six or seven minutes. We had a beautiful red fox visit us just about every day at the back door while he was passing through. Electric baseboard heat throughout the unit so individual temperatures can be selected for different rooms/guests. Everything was very clean and well stocked as far as towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, etc. Had big washer and dryer. They are basically two master suites with a multi bed bunkbed situation, so I could see how you would be able to sleep two 4 person families here easily.

On a very busy road. Cabins need some updating. The view from the cabin was the back of one cabin and the back of some rec vehicles. I ate once in the restaurant and it was good - the bar is well stocked. I only used the cabin to sleep in as I traveled around everyday. There isn't anything in Cameron.

This is a big strip of highway under the famous big sky.

This is a big strip of highway under the famous big sky. Not a lot here. The people are nice and it was a pleasant stop on the way to somewhere else. The Blue Moon Saloon is a nice little restaurant with good basic food for the road-weary. They do have limited hours so it is like winning the lottery if you get to eat there. Virginia City MT and "Ghost town" is just a few miles up the road and not to be missed. Good leg stretching living museum on a nice day.

We stayed here as a central location for visiting Yellowstone National Park. The night we arrived we ate dinner at Bynee's. Totally would recommend eating there. Our server told us about Virginia City and Nevada City. Another day, while patronizing one of the fishing shops, we were advised to visit the ghost town of Bannack. This was a once in a lifetime trip and I'm glad we chose to stay in Cameron, MT. The local people were very helpful with letting know us about nearby attractions and made our trip even more memorable.

Don't blink or you'll miss it.

Don't blink or you'll miss it. Right in the heart of the Madison River valley. World-class fly fishing within minutes. Beautiful scenery in the valley. Only an hour from the west entrance to Yellowstone so an easy commute if you are on your way in or out of the park. And the hotel was a much better value than other places in West Yellowstone.
