The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel accommodates pets, which was incredibly helpful for cross-country moves. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Finally, the breakfast was really good for a budget hotel option.

The bad part is they don’t tell you that house keeping cleans every other day unless you ask for it and then they missed the day before I checked out. All of the state was dry and empty.
All of the state was dry and empty. This town was the only thing to see, and I was tired. The first thing I noticed is they love pizza. This tiny town had to have at least 11 pizza places, this is important to the public. I drove some around the town and saw they like their city parks. There were more than 2. I never got out of the car. It was relatively warm. It appears there is not much diversity in employment. In fact, I have little idea other than farming what these people do for work well. There is welfare and pizza. I do not recommend adding this to your must-sees when you travel, but maybe to your church's prayer list. We were just passing through on our way to Rapid City.
We were just passing through on our way to Rapid City. I booked online so I didn't know much about this hotel. I chose it because it was right off the highway that we would be taking on our way to Rapid City. I ended up really liking it because of the location. It was attached to an awesome restaurant and next to a dog park and store. Then I realized how comfortable the beds were. I wished I had more time, so that I could enjoy the indoor pool. Colby has places to eat on Sunday ONLY south of I-70. It's a nice little town. There are several good places to eat---China Buffet, Village Inn (closes at 3:00 p.m.), Gambino's pizza (NOT open Sunday), Qdoba.

Wildland Fires filled the hotel with the smell of smoke. Management should have automatically discount travelers, due to the hotel NOT being "smoke free" as advertised. It was handy to have a small store in the lobby, but could have included some breakfast. Check-in guy was funny and friendly. When I mentioned the "smoke" they could have taken initiative to automatically offer a discount, free juice, or something, to offset our sore throats

My airline had misdirected my luggage, so I was on a road trip for 48 hours with only my purse. The room clerk, hearing this, went into the back and put together a care package for me of about 12 toiletries items she thought I could use. (The clerk in the hotel the day before didn't offer anything when she heard.) It really made a difference. They also made extra effort watching out for my bag when it did arrive.

We drive an electric vehicle, and we stopped here for the night because there's a fast charger nearby. This hotel blew us away. The staff were on top of everything, the room was great, and the breakfast was good. Two thumbs way up. You won't go wrong here. The only place we've stayed in six weeks on the road where my wife felt compelled to leave the breakfast staff a tip. My wife visited the nearby Prairie Museum and loved it.
