My issues are not with the lovely town of Covington.

My issues are not with the lovely town of Covington. This hotel has obviously been sold to an inferior management company who are not overseeing how the staff operates things. This is NOT a travelling business person's hotel. If you are looking to score crack or hookers, maybe.

Covington is often called NorthShore meaning it is across causeway from the New Orleans area. Covington has a beautiful and clean historical area with beautiful homes. Many major roads change names once in the "heart of the city". There's parks for children to play at and this area is close to Mandeville. Although I didn't go there's a lot of children activities nearby. Trampoline park and Children's museum. I traveled to attend Mardi Gras parade with my extended family. We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse and the food was well prepared and served. Breakfast was eaten at the hotel.

Several restaurants I would have liked to try if my stay had been longer, we had breakfast at the English Tea Room and enjoyed it very much, it looked like there were a lot of small shops I would have loved to visit. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to return.

The area is beautiful, but I was there to help take care of grandchildren, so did not get out and enjoy the amenities the area has to offer this trip. I do love the quaintness of Covington, the beautiful street and architecture of the homes in the area and enjoy just driving or walking around admiring these. I have also in the past eaten at some wonderful restaurants, enjoyed a walk along the lake and the bike trail.

    LOVE Covington!

LOVE Covington! the historic downtown area is small but wonderful. There are plenty of interesting locally owned shops and restaurants. The vibe is warm and friendly. The scenery is lush and inspiring! It is very easy to find your way around and easy access to New Orleans if you want to go there. The Chimes restaurant is loud but has really good food. The Abita Roasting company is also fantastic; breakfast !!!

I was matron of honor in my sisters wedding and we (accidentally hahaha) had conjoining rooms! The staff was very kind and allowed the bridal party to use our suites to get dressed in! The front desk lady when we arrived was super welcoming! This was our third trip here & The hotel/room are always all very clean! We did have a baby gecko hanging out in the bathroom, but he prolly got through via a pipe/hole etc- we’re from the south so sneaky critters don’t bother us, he prolly came in after the cleaning crew!

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I would like to highlight Christel and Dody at the front desk. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I loved the facilities. The grounds were beautifully maintained, rooms were very clean, pool and jacuzzi, and washer and dryer. I am happy with the Marriot hotel and will be staying again. Thank you.

Oatmeal was excellent. I only ate breakfast once, but found it to be very good. Room was comfortable. Neighbors were loud well into the wee hours of the morning on my last night, but other than that my experience was positive. This is where I always stay when I visit my daughter in Covington and am quite pleased with the accommodations.

My stay at Super 8 Hotel left much to be desired. From the outdated facilities and lackluster customer service to the inadequate amenities and unpleasant surroundings, it was a disappointing experience overall. Not recommended.
