Best Western Windsor Inn and Suites, hotel in Danville

Best Western Windsor Inn and Suites is located in Danville, Virginia, just 15 minutes’ drive from Virginia International Raceway. Free WiFi access is provided.

The main issue was the price of the Hotel mid week in an area not very attractive. The whole Danville area was way more expensive then any of the Hotels we stayed in Asheville or Boon, Blowing Rock or Waynesville. Compared to those Cities and the Hotels we used in the week before this Hotel should not had cost more then $100 mid week in the area and setup as the room was. This area is way overprized and we will not stop any longer in that area on our trips from or to the mountains

Danville is my hometown and it was nice to come back to visit with friends and family. It was a great week. We ate at Tuscany Grill a couple of times. The food was excellent. We also ate at Danview, Rubens, Firehouse subs, and Captain Cooks. Each place was good. It is easy to get around Danville. They have revitalized the downtown area and it looks very nice.

Room decor was lovely, bed was great. Shower very good.

Room decor was lovely, bed was great. Shower very good. Neighborhood sketchy, I had to walk past a drug deal in progress to get to my car in the lot.... Thery don't adhere to their quiet hours policy... They allowed guests who rented the room that has access to the rooftop deck to place large speakers in their open doorway and play very loud trap music. I called to complaian when my walls were shaking. I was told that they were given permisiion to play music until 9:00, Ridiculous!! The view from my room window was of a rusted heating duct... Didn't feel safe walking alone outside this hotel at all.

Danville was a little depressing ---I used my GPS to try to find a restaurant--went to 3 different places listed on my recently updated GPS and they were all closed---ended up at a Burger King which was OK but not what I was looking for for lunch---town was awkward to navigate due to hills and river with odd shaped intersections.

This was a cute, small town. Nice to walk in. Really clean. We ate at Me Burgers and Brews and loved it! There was also a fountain in front perfect for pictures! We stayed at an Air BNB loft apartment and the Bee Hotel and loved them both!

Danville is small town with big personality.

Danville is small town with big personality. I love how everything you need is all together in one location or either a 5-10 minute drive away. It really felt like home. The houses were gorgeous. I plan to return for a little R&R and exploring. 😁

    The cleanliness, the staff.

The cleanliness, the staff. Walking distance to Burger King, and Hams which is a restaurant with bar and karaoke. It's safe at that location, no worries about random people coming up to you. The environment is very diverse. Oh, I love that the rooms are inside access. I felt very safe there.

Family owned and operated. I met Andrew Jones the owner/manager in person. He is working every day and is a very down to earth guy who is proud of his hotel. I will say that while I love booking.com, in this case I will book directly with this hotel from now on. They have special rates for VIR racers as well.

Great location with the Riverwalk trail right outside the back door! Very friendly staff! I have been roaming the Blue Ridge Mountains for 2 months and this was best hotel experience. Best breakfast provided by a hotel by far! I normally do not take the time to respond to reviews but thought I would share.

It was my fault to go through a booking site for the room. The clerk at the desk told me I could have saved over $100 if I had booked with the hotel directly.
