Great location, with a wonderful on-site restaurant & bar, and free on-site parking. The decor of the hotel is beautiful, very "boutique-y" in the best sense of the word. The room is large, quiet and very functional (great large refrigerator, and lots of outlets for phones, laptop, etc.).

Darien is a teeny town that is full of history and charm.
Darien is a teeny town that is full of history and charm. It’s not fancy, but very low-key and quaint! It is really like stepping back in time. There are historical attractions, a handful of great little local restaurants (we ate at The Canopy restaurant and we definitely recommend it) as well as a few bars and shops.
The river views, the boats, the seafood, the Spanish-moss draped trees, the historic sites and the friendly locals make a stay in Darien so relaxing. A perfect 2 night getaway! It’s not too far off of 1-95, so it’s a great way to break up a long trip coming or going from/to Florida.

I loved that it was a short distance to the Sapelo Island...
I loved that it was a short distance to the Sapelo Island Ferry. That is the main reason I booked this place.Loved the room..Lots of fast food places around as there is only one decent place on the river to eat in the whole town of Darien. Nothing really interesting to do in Darien unless you are a history person as I am...Darien is very small, really not much there.
Kevin greeted me at the front desk upon my arrival. It was my first time staying at this Red Roof. He was so personable and gave me every assurance I would be pleased with my room. He was right!! Clean, comfortable and quiet. Although I only booked for one night, it was exactly what I was looking for. I I will definitely book again when I come through Darien,Ga. Highly Recommend....especially if you just need good accommodations for one or two nights.
Very new, clean and comfortable. Views of the river were gorgeous. Staff was attentive and polite. Staff was plentiful. Nice, upscale touches like a roomy, luxurious shower and turndown service. On-site restaurant and bar. Very nice pool overlooking the river. Darien is a cute little town and this hotel is located right in the middle of it. Not too far off I-95.
The Welcome. Zack's got it 👍
Location is pretty special. It is as you might expect, a historic old home adapted to a bed and breakfast. The hosts attention to detail commendable. Darien, though small, is convenient to much more congested Sea Island 30 minutes down the road. We will stay again.

I must say, the experience we had was awesome property owner was great. She worked with our schedule and the location was great. 5 minutes from downtown Darien and 5 minutes from the dock.
