The location, waterbed, kitchen, living room all are great. Mt. Shasta is 10 minutes away, and Hedge Creek Falls is even closer. I visited the falls during a very rainy few days, and it was spectacular! I really enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again.

Hot tub was quite warm (could be warmer, but understand it is family-friendly); check-in was easy; not many people staying so quiet; the promise of a mountain view was debatable- we could see peaks, but not THE mountain; breakfast was spot-on!

The hotel was in a wonderful part of Mt Shasta. It is within walking distance of a number of great restaurants and shops. Best yet, it has a Theory Coffee Cafe attached to the hotel, so with had access to excellent coffee and pastries!

The woman at Reception was super pleasant and helpful at check in. It is an attractive site with beautiful mature oaks and pines. Our old dog appreciated strolling about clean, unpaved areas away from traffic. After a long drive, it was nice to be able to walk across the street for a margarita and Cinco de Mayo meal and then down to a bar for darts and Jenga.

An off-freeway, town that supports the Lake Shasta tourism and visitors. The locals are friendly and Dunsmuir is quiet and beautiful. I found it to be central of location for great outdoor fun. The hiking, water play in mountain rivers, and lakes, so much to see and do! Dunsmuir is the place to go back to stay, rest, refresh, and do it again the next day.

The quaint Amtrak station and the brilliant Cafe Maddalena next to it are must visits. The entire town feels like the clock stopped there from the 20's or 30's. Must check out the theatre, shops and walk around town. Friendly locals who can readily guide and give you suggestions. Easy distance from Mt. Shasta.

Lovely botanical gardens and city park with playground (and bathrooms) is well worth a visit. We walked there while charging our electric car, then had lunch at the highly reviewed Yaks Cafe. The gardens are an interesting mix of native plants, rhododendrons and other interesting collections. Trails go to the river. Some nice touches include a solid wood bed with a comfortable mattress. This is a pretty little mountain town; the manager recommended the bakery right opposite the Amtrak station for breakfast, which turned out to be the nicest little place. I'd absolutely go back to Dunsmuir. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel for any travelers.
