Quiet location just off of a main route, so easy to get to. Friendly front desk staff. My room was clean, no weird smells, and linens looked fresh. No stained comforter like some budget motels. Nice big shower and plenty of towels. Nice sized fridge, as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Curtains kept the light out well at night and there wasn't a lot of noise from the adjoining rooms. The free breakfast was excellent. Sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fruit, juice, waffles, pastries and coffee! Made a sausage, egg & biscuit sandwich that kept me going once I was back on the road. I've already recommended the motel to friends who travel this same route and I will definitely stay here again on my way south.

Loved that it had a washer & dryer as we were on a road trip for 2 weeks and needed to do laundry. Loved the location as it was close to everything we wanted to do & see! Home was really nice and had all we needed! 😊

Absolutely nothing. I was ripped off by the host. I booked the house and informed the host about arriving between midnight and 1am. The host sent me a faulty link that wouldn’t give me any check in information. One I tried contacting the host upon arrival I called over 20 times with no answer, emailed and texted and didn’t receive a response. So I had to spend double the money and go get hotel rooms.

The lady running things was a mess.. locked herself out of the office .. climbing over the counter to get back in counter.. after 15 minutes she got me in and the door keys don’t work she asked me if I had the right room.. unbelievable…

It’s beautiful. We lucked out, the West Virginian looked to be the most secluded small cabin, so we had plenty of privacy. A lot of amenities were available and were very thoughtful!
This is a very cool town! Most of the restaurants struggle to accommodate the number of customers wanting to dine. For example, we tried twice to eat at Secret Sandwich Society (different times, two different days), but the hour and 1/2 wait was just too long for us. We did eat at Cathedral Cafe and Pints and Pies, which we enjoyed. We wanted to eat at Smokey’s on the Gorge, but they are only open three days per week.

Fayetteville is an interesting little tiny town (emphasis on tiny) right at the heart of all things New River Gorge.
Range Finder coffee just opened a stand alone spot and is a great spot for real coffee or hit Wood Iron just up and across the street. If you're a mountain biker, Andy at New River bikes is about as solid as it gets and the shop is more than worth a visit.
We struggled a little bit with the dining options without having to jump in the car and explore other towns near by but we'll definitely be back. Loved our time there. Eric and Natalie at the Morris Harvey house could not have been more helpful.

We wanted to stop for the one day and night, before traveling to our final destination. We got to see all that we wanted to see of the gorge plus more. Want to go back with our preteen grandkids, they would enjoy for sure.

Awesome location for hiking, climbing, rafting, etc.
Awesome location for hiking, climbing, rafting, etc. Just enough quality eating places; we had 2 excellent meals at Pies & Pints and the Mexican place in Oak Hill strip mall (exceeded expectations).
Very outdoorsy, nature oriented location. Be active and enjoy!

Has all of the stores and food options you could want while passing through via route 19. I have no idea why one would visit there as a destination but as a stop over to break up a long trip it was fine. The people were all very friendly!
Location was great, right downtown within walking distance of local restaurants, little shops, etc. Five minute drive to larger shopping area - Walmart, chain restaurants, hotels, drug stores. It was quiet. The home was quaint and was furnished well. Like many B&Bs, it was Victorian in nature and had displays of its history. The owner was very nice and offered information on the local area. The dam is close by with the lake and the local back roads are perfect for motorcycles, sports cars, and leisurely driving. Gorgeous area.
The house was spacious for our family of 4 (two of them teenagers), and it could fit up to 6 nicely. The kitchen was fully equipped, saving us money on eating out as we cooked at the house. It's just off a main road, but the house is well insulated and barely heard any traffic from inside. This was our first time renting a house for vacation, and I don't think I could go back. This was a great experience. Great location to New River Gorge and Summersville Lake.
This hotel was obviously an older building undergoing some renovations. That being said, my room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean... The continental breakfast was pretty much your run of the mill breakfast but the attendant was super helpful... Location was very close to the New River Gorge National Park, which is what I came to see...
The breakfast was ok, usual hotel food and the staff was outstanding. The restaurant, Elliots, was on location and we ate dinner there every night, it was very good. They also serve local beers which was nice. The best part of staying there is the proximity to the national park and state parks, with easy access to the highway.
Handy location minutes from the NRG National Park , Babcock SP etc nice hotel plenty of parking it was tail end of winter but still bustling with all types of guests , we had a nice stay the room was clean the bathroom good everything worked well tv fridge microwave etc , beds were comfy .
This is a quiet, clean hotel with a bar and grill attached to the location that’s just great fun. You can’t beat the area as you’ll be at the New River Gorge Bridge within. 5 mins by car. Plus breakfast in the morning. I loved this stay and will definitely be back.
It was conveniently located in the midst of Fayetteville and walking distance to everything in town. it was so beautifully decorated for Halloween and had the most beautiful antiques. The owners were so friendly and also made lovely breakfasts.
The location to the National Park is spot on, a very short drive. Fayetteville is a pretty cool town, not what we were expecting in rural WV. Very young crowd, good places to eat, and an outstanding brewery - Free Folk Brewery.
