Downtown Fredericksburg is cute with lots of shops, although most are pricey. Free street parking! Many, many wineries nearby!
Lady Bird Park is amazing! We were in town for viewing the solar eclipse, and they treated us like royalty! No charge for admittance. No parking passes needed. Tons of staff available throughout! Permanent restrooms and tons of porta potties. Free eclipse glasses. Food and souvenirs available. The park is big, beautiful, and well-maintained. We were in a car, but there were camping sites too. Surprisingly fast and easy getting out of the park due to folks directing traffic. Kudos to whomever was in charge of Lady Bird Park on April 8, 2024!

All merchants restaurant personal were friendly and polite.
All merchants restaurant personal were friendly and polite. Things went well with all reservations. The price for the rental was high dye to the eclipse. Even guides at enchanted Rock were helpful and allowed us in, even though we didn't have reservations.

I thought Main St in Fredericksburg was too expensive.
I thought Main St in Fredericksburg was too expensive. Most of the items we looked at were made in China and overpriced. We were disappointed in the items available and the prices.
I would have enjoyed seeing more of the town and learning more about the community.

Great town in the "Napa Valley" of Texas!
Great town in the "Napa Valley" of Texas! But just not Wine Country, Fredericksburg has so many things to do and great places to eat and drink. Early Texas and German culture mixed with a first-class atmosphere!

Fredericksburg was founded by German immigrants in the early 1800s it's one of the biggest wine making areas in Texas it's a wonderful town full of charm old old homes that are beautiful many many shops and a great place to visit
I will stay here again in a heartbeat! The room was beautiful. The beds comfortable. Everything was clean. The lobby was lovely. The hot breakfast was wonderful. Our poolside room was quiet even with many kids & people outside. Location is ideal! We walked everywhere we wanted within downtown Fredericksburg. I am so happy I picked this spot for my girls trip. The staff members were friendly and welcoming.
Check in person was most helpful, checked us in ahead of schedule so that we could attend a musical production slated for 2:00 PM. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Assigned us a very quiet section of the third floor. Excellent breakfast selection. We stayed at a Laredo, Texas La Quinta Hotel 2 weeks before and our stay in Fredericksburg was also most excellent.
Sunset Inn is a nice and quiet motel, that seems to be one of the only independent (non-chain) accommodations left. Very friendly host, clean and quaint rooms. Bed was comfortable and overall very good value for the money. The diner next door had a big line on weekends for brunch, which is a good sign (we didn’t have time to try the food).
Great little charming road hotel located just off the main Fredericksburg street. Staff are all very kind and accommodating. They greet you with a smile and are more than willing to educate you on Fredericksburg! Pool looked very clean. Rooms were fairly traditional design. Nothing more, nothing less. Just what I needed for the night.
It was cozy, comfortable, very clean and quiet. I was welcomed at the front desk and my room was upgraded. This room was spacious with well-lit covered parking right next to the room. There was complimentary wine and bottled water.
The property is a great place to take a morning walk or close enough to walk to Main Street.
Loved the aesthetic feel of the cabin, was very homey, good location to most wineries as well as Fredericksburg(about 8 miles away), easy to get in and out of, loved the lights highlighting the road to cabins at night, very nice road, loved the view especially either the alpacas or llamas that we saw the morning we left.
We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We couldn't hear the traffic on 290 at all. The cabins were close enough to Fredericksburg that we could run into town when we wanted, but still have a quiet place to retreat when we finished with our activities. Facilities were clean.
Location was great. About a 10 minute walk to downtown Fredericksburg or a short drive. Plenty of space for 10 people. The beds were comfortable. Loved the large island in the kitchen and the huge couch in the living room. Large outdoor space for entertaining.
Very clean facilities and the staff was excellent. Located close to downtown so everything is nearby. Will stay here again when in Fredericksburg and hopefully for more than 1 night. Very short but pleasurable stay. Comfortable beds and good breakfast.
The location is by far the best part about this property. It is more quiet and remote than I expected but still just a short drive into Fredericksburg. The scenery overlooking the canyon is amazing. The cabin is almost much more comfortable than I expected.
Very well maintained remodeled small motel.
Shower was TINY. TV was small.
Bed was superb.
Coffee maker and refrigerator are available at a daily fee . I didn't need either.
Very limited parking. Close to city center. Great prices.
Will stay again.
This place is right on Main street.
We like it because you can walk all the way down on one side of Main and return on the other to cover all stores!! We have stayed here several times. The place is good for the price.
Great location in walking distance of the Main Street shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely room with fridge and microwave. Very comfortable bed. Lovely outside areas and pool area.
Great hot breakfast included too
Room was very clean. It is comfortable. It is not fancy but everything worked. We were looking for a place to sleep as we were visiting family in ther area.
