I really want to point out that while the room was very nice and the staff very friendly there is a major flaw at this property. There are stairs everywhere. Up 2 or 3, down 2 or 3. Even if you take the one far end elevator, you still have to negotiate stairs. Luggage carts become useless and it is certainly not for old folks or the wheel chair bound.

We were in Gallipolis for the July 4th weekend and had a nice visit there. Some of my ancestors lived here and I can remember visiting my Great Grandmother here a couple times when I was a child. Gallipolis has changed quite a lot since then. We chose to visit here because Gallia County has very low Covid 19 Wuhan Virus numbers and most people were adhering to the Mitigation Protocols. Gallipolis is a very Pretty Village on the Ohio River in Appalatia. The Downtown Area is very quaint and charming! If you are looking for an Appalachian get-a-way, this is a nice place to go. We watched the Fireworks at Point Pleasant WV across the river because Gallipolis had cancelled their display due to Covid-19 Wuhan Virus Pandemic.

Very scenic town located along the Ohio River.

Very scenic town located along the Ohio River. Recommended cruise through town. About 15-20 minutes of your time. Lots of restaurant choices ( Highly recommend China One Buffett). Cost of living is very competitive to other middle/upper income areas.

Gallipolis and Point Pleasant are two great small towns. The people are extremely nice and we visit every year for the Mothman Festival. We can't wait to go back at other times to visit. I highly recommend a few days relaxing in the area, taking in the history and events of both towns.

We were interested in the history of Gallipolis, and the view along the Ohio River was lovely. The town seems to be a curious mix of old, wealthy historic homes and very poor areas. We would highly recommend the Tuscany Italian restaurant there—- delicious food and a step up from the other fast food and chain restaurants in the town.
