Room was comfortable and convenient for my pet. Breakfast was simple, but tasty and well prepared. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the fire pits outside. Really nice spaces to relax.

Half Moon Bay is a small community with loads of weekend visitors. Hence, nutty traffic on the weekends. Restaurant options were a mixed bag - found a great Italian place (Pasta Moon) and a horrible Indian place (India Beach).

Lovely hotel & location, but certain services and facilities are curtailed at different times of the year..,.eg the dining room was closed during our stay, as was the bar and the spa. This meant no breakfast was available, and all meals/drinks needed to be taken outside of the hotel.

We stayed in Half Moon Bay to stay out of the SF/Silicon Valley crazy but many of our activities were over on the east side of the peninsula. The seafood was fantastic (Sam's Chowder House) and the beaches and road side farms were as well.

Walked from Harbor Inn to the restaurants and moorings in the harbor across the street. Beautiful harbor, lots of walking opportunities, and a lot of choices to places to eat.
I ate at Barbara's Fish Trap right on the wharf. Fresh broiled sea bass was amazing and the service was great.

Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
Half moon bay is a great weekend visit.
While there is not much to do late at night, there is plenty to do during the day and evening.
We spend the day/night visiting shops, going wine tasting, walking on the beach, and going out to eat.
Although we sometimes like to stay out late, it was nice to come back a little early and relax back where we were staying.
Everyone in town is very friendly!

Alot of good eating places, Cameron's and the barn walking distance from quality inn. Another of places to walk along the beaches. Nice shops in the little town. My husband and I go there about every three months and stay three days.
Half Moon Bay is a beautiful location. The Hotel Staff is wonderful.
Felt sorry for the front desk attendants as other guests who had a similar experiences to my own - booked a room believing they had an ocean view - but did not. Perhaps the hotel should provide photos of the actual rooms guests are booking, so we know exactly what to expect. Would certainly make life easier on your welcome Staff as well.
We found this hotel very well ranked on booking but from the beginning we experience several problems: the sheets were dirty, we ask for changes. Two days after we had dirty towels. We found an agreement with the manager to compensate all of this issues and it was not respected…now we are leaving and waiting for our refund…the breakfast is poor! So for all of this reason I don’t recommend this place!
Everything was perfect. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The hosts, Stacy and Alex were most welcoming and helpful. The hotel and its grounds and location is beautiful. Only a short walk to the beach and to exceptional tide pools. The breakfast is fantastic and a perfect way to start the day. This was our fourth time at Seal Cove Inn. can't wait for our next visit!
Spectacular location, right across the street from the beach. The hotel is beautiful, and the bed was so comfortable, with silky soft sheets. Quick trip for me and my husband - we walked to the brewery (delicious french fries!), and walked To Sam's Chowder House. The Pilot Light is a few minutes away by car (try the Dutch Baby!!). Wonderful trip, can't wait to come back.
Location on the beach and the calm relaxing feeling in the hotel One of my absolut favorite hotels in the Bay area. Allthough it starting to be old and worn., First time I stayed here it was new. Rooms in need for upgrading. Breakfast is perfect to bring up yourself to the balkony and the area is absolutelly beautiful. The openfire is perfect on a foggy Novemberdays.
It was a poor breakfast. For the cost of this hotel for one night pretty shocking.
1 type of prepacked muffin at 580 calories each, no fresh juice, just carton packs with concentrate, yoghurt was fine. Choice if mandarin / apple.
Coffee quality poor
Lovely friendly people and such a beautiful room looking out over the ocean, so clean and a bottle of fizzy for us to celebrate our anniversary. So close to lovely eating places and then a walk from Sam's Chowder House on the beach, beautiful.
I only stayed at this hotel for 1 night, but I found it to be a comfortable place to stay.
My flight to SFO was delayed so I arrived at this hotel about 2am, but even then there was someone on the front desk to welcome me and check me in.
Room was nice with plenty of space. Liked the high counter that separated the living room from the bed. The fireplace was nice. The room had a limited view of the ocean. The restaurant and coffee shop next to the hotel are very nice.
Hotel provided wood for fireplace (for one fire, more wood available for purchase). Room was well equiped with mini kitchen.
They were able to upgrade us to an ocean view for a small charge. Staff was great. Excellent facilities.
The room was comfortable and clean. It is next door to the Ritz Carlton, and we spent the day at the Ritz getting massages and having a meal. We were close by without having to pay a high price for the rooms at the Ritz.
Outdoor patio very nice, with fire at the table. great to have wine and snacks available. Breakfast very good. Shared area of living and dining room very nice. Very accessible to downtown area of Half Moon Bay
Location overlooks a residential area and the golf course. Set away from the main road and easy access to Old Town Half Moon Bay. Can walk to. Coastal trail.
