It was rough, the comforter was dirty, we were desperate so didn’t have any other option, but it was pretty bad.

Absolutely everything! It says Chessie Room but this was really a small apartment in a historical building. It was decorated beautifully with period pieces. Everything we needed was provided especially with the small kitchenette. It was cozy yet spacious with beautiful windows from floor to ceiling. Located at the Visitor Center at Heritage Station everything we wanted and needed to do was within blocks. If We are ever in Huntington again we will never stay anywhere else. Stephen our host was wonderful!!!
I went to run the Marshall Marathon. The run around the town was very pleasant. We ran thru several different types of neighborhoods. I ate at several locations. We visited downtown for dinner. Downtown was short but nice old and new buildings.

Town seemed to have multiple functions during the weekend.
Town seemed to have multiple functions during the weekend. They made things more inconvenient by closing the main road. Someone that hadn't been there before could have been in trouble. Some parts of town can be sketchy.

I enjoyed the Hotel as it was clean and smelled clean. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Parking was great. There was a pool, exercise room, and an outside kind of porch with a good view we could sit on. No complaints whatsoever. I would stay here again.

Huntington is a beautiful town.
Huntington is a beautiful town. Mostly influenced by the University, the campus is impressive. There are many things to see and do, but due to the cold weather we opted to take in a concert and return to our wonderful room.

I live within an hour of Huntington.
I live within an hour of Huntington. Travelers outside of the area or out of state may not be aware of the crime rate. Because of WV's natural beauty & friendly people, visitors tend to let their guard down a bit too much.

Loved Riverfront Park and the Pullman Square area - it was a nice surprise. We’ve stopped here in Huntingdon before on trips from Maysville KY back home in NC but didn't venture down to the river
We are on our return part of our trip and this is the last stop before home. It was also the first stop on our way at the beginning of our trip. At the first stop, I could not give a good rating, but since we had already booked this hotel(and I couldn’t cancel without paying) we decided to stay anyway! I’m glad we did! This stay is much better than our first. It is quiet, clean, comfortable and easy to get to! Same hotel, different room, much better!
My family and I were AMAZED at how "new" the property appeared. When we checked out, I asked the person at the desk how old the facility was and they said five years. To us, it looked brand new! Everywhere we went in the hotel was clean...from the front desk to the breakfast area to the workout facility to our rooms....all were spotless!
There is no doubt that the staff takes great pride in their work and the place where they work.
We have stayed here several times now and we love it. The location is perfect for what we need. Its like coming home in a way. Rick is very nice and makes sure if we need anything he is there. You may hear the road traffic but just cut the fan on and it drowns it out. The rooms are nice and they feel like home not some sort of hotel. Only problem I have he stays booked. LOL...
The apartment is lovely and was spotless upon arrival. Great location near Visitor's Center, riverfront park, and downtown Huntington. And we learned so much about "Chessie," the history of the city and the railroads. Really interesting!
Good quiet location, comfortable room, good bedding, pleasant staff. A real park-in-front-of-your room motel. We've tried various locations in the Charleston-Huntington corridor and I think we'll happily stay here again.
Appreciated having scrambled eggs and sausage at breakfast as well as the more typical hotel offerings (except no waffles or pancakes which we rarely do anyway). Liked the bold coffee. Bed was very comfortable.
The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Everyone we encountered was so pleasant and friendly. We are looking to relocate to WV and our experience at the hotel alone made us feel so welcome.
Location, kitchen, pool, staff, it was so clean - really pretty location and a very nice hotel for the price and dog friendly that isn’t a gross hotel - this dog friendly hotel is so nice
I really liked this hotel - very comfortable & clean & the staff was friendly & efficient. I reeeallyy liked the sofas in the rooms & the fridge & microwave & the shower was exceptional
The location was excellent. The food tasted great. The room was clean and comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The shower was so relaxing. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
