Ala Moana Hotel - Resort Fee Included, hotel in Kaneohe

With a newly transformed Lobby, Starbucks Lounge, Porte Cochère as well as a total modernization of the hotel's pool deck, the new and improved Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra is ready to welcome you back...

The best thing about the Ala Moana Hotel is its location within the Ala Moana Shopping Center property. It's also a 5 minute walk from Ala Moana Beach. Unfortunately, we found the bed and pillows to be uncomfortable, and our hotel neighbors were NOISY!

Ohia Waikiki Studio Suites, hotel in Kaneohe

Located in the Waikiki district in Honolulu, 984 feet from Waikiki Beach Area, Ohia Waikiki Studio Suites features air-conditioned rooms.

We were on different floors but it was ok, the beach was a few blocks away, the room had some uninvited pests ROACHES, and the facilities needed a serious makeover, but it was good for the price. I wish I could have spent a little more to get a more decent hotel.

Although I thought the room needed upgrading, the property itself was lovely and the staff was great. I really enjoyed the easy-going feel of the place - just what I needed. It was often cloudy in the morning but sun came out in the afternoon. We rented a car which worked out great but they do charge a 15$ fee for parking each day. Overall I would stay again and would recommend to friends.

The East side of Oahu is not really as tourist as the Waikiki and Honolulu areas of the island and for us was all the better for it. There are a large number of much quieter beaches and overall its not as busy. Its short of proper restaurants so self catering is a better option, there are fast food places but more what you would expect for residents rather than for special occasions. You definitely need a rental car here because it would be hard to get around without one. If you are in to cycling that would also work of course.

This town is the best. Everyone was sweet. Not too far a drive from anywhere. But would need a rental car. Byodo-In Temple, Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, and Ka'a'awa Beach Park were amazing! Close to Jurassic Park too which was cool to drive by.

    Will be back!

Will be back! Paddle boarding perfection to sandbar-though ideally would get for several hours vs 1.5 hour limit-then could visit island more. $25 charge but so much better than boat tour or kayak to see sandbar. Amazing hikes wi a few miles.

Front Desk Personnel (Kris, Jesse, Alyssa) were friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful with recommendations of things to do in/around Kaneohe -- loved Byodo Temple, shopping for souvenirs at Longs Drugs. Our boat ride with Jesse and Rawland on Wed. Aug. 25th to snorkel and play on the sandbar was awesome! We went kayaking on Monday, Aug. 23rd and saw several sea turtles swimming in Kaneohe Bay!

If you want a quiet, relaxing stay far away from the crowds of tourists, Paradise Bay Resort is the place for you! We loved our 4-night stay - so quiet, clean and spacious room, beautiful mountain views right outside our room, free kayaking around Kaneohe Bay and just a short drive to the best spots on Oahu like the North Shore, Waiahole Poi Factory, and Kualoa Ranch!

To get this straight at the beginning: This accomodation is very nice, the staff is great and the "green idea" practiced in the hotel is good and laudable. The cooking facilities in the room are very functional. The balcony of our room offered a nice stay outside. Kayaking is free of charge. A snorkeling tour is offered at an extra charge.

We did not even know there was breakfast.. I think we should have got a map or something to help with that. The rooms were connected to other people that you could very easily hear. The hot tub was very small, and the boat that it shown on the picture to take u to the sand bar was broken. It was not our favorite part of Hawaii trip.

The location is amazing if you're looking for peace and quiet to unwind. However, be prepared to pay around $140.00 to and from the airport. The resort offers a snorkeling tour combined with a trip to the Kaneohe Sandbar which was definitely worthwhile. Captain Rall and Brain were very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.

With kitchens. The mountain and lagoon/bay views are amazing and it's quiet. Its a tropical rain forest. Different than a sandy beach resort in a good way. Lived the use of kayaks. Good snorkeling out in the bay. We saw manta rays, turtles and fish. Rooms are clean and comfortable
