The swipes for the credit card wasn’t working and they were kind enough to waive our extras fees as a result. Very nice people working there!

Win Schulers restaurant in Marshall has been voted the best...
Win Schulers restaurant in Marshall has been voted the best restaurant in Michigan 26 years in a row! The food is outstanding, although the prices are not cheap. I got a shave and a haircut at Palmer's Barber Shop in downtown Marshall for only $26. The cost of the same thing in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where I live, is $80!! I went to Firekeeper's Casino several times and made enough money playing blackjack to cover the cost of my trip.

Skeleton-fest was a fun diversion.

Halloween arts & crafts show at the fairgrounds was GREAT! Almost missed it.
There should have been more information about that event available in the downtown area.

Marshall has numerous good restaurants to dine at as well as a Norman Rockwall feel to the downtown area. If you ever saw the old Christmas classic, "It's a Wonderful Life", Marshall resembles Bedford Falls. And most likely there will be snow for Christmas!

We stayed in Marshall (at the Holiday INN) but we did not go into Marshall on this trip. This was a stop over between, a show/dinner at Turkeyville and then traveling to Shipshewana, IND. for some shows.
I was presenting at a conference at Albion College Saturday morning, and stayed at your hotel in Marshall, MI Friday Evening. I liked that. However, Saturday morning at your property, the electricity was out. No alarm clock, heat, lights, internet or breakfast. I was unable to complete my presentation work on my laptop, or iron my clothes. After the electricity came on, there was no hot water to shower up, I had to leave shortly afterwards for the conference without being able to get ready.
$124.30 for a 2 night stay was a very good value! Since I went to Marshall, Michigan to eat at Win Schuler's restaurant several times and also went to the Firekeeper's Casino to play blackjack, Howard's Motel is ideally located between the two.
We had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are very clean and smell good. Pool area is clean and doesn't stink up the whole hotel like most of them do. Lastly I will sing your praises all day long on the breakfast, it is fantastic!!
Such friendly staff, very clean room and comfortable bed for the price! I was very impressed I’ve never slept so good in a hotel bed! Our room was actually upgraded to a king instead of a queen as well, for the same price. :)
Christie in the breakfast area was so helpful and nice. She keeps the area clean and stocked. Mr Ramos was very professional and helped us get a room on the level for handicapped person. Awesome stay !
Quick getting ahold of someone for after hours, lighting in room better than a different hotel we paid more at. Easy checkout next morning. Nice size fridge, able to eat in room.
It was a great location. Quiet but close to our activities. We loved the apartment as well as the farm animals. We will stay there again if we are traveling in the area.
