It was amazing..one of the best hotels I've stayed in..breakfast was great..lots of choices to eat from..I will definitely come back..and for the price it was really great!
This place is disgusting! It is totally filthy. The lobby is dark and dingy. The smell of bug repellent was being dispersed by a floor fan when we checked in. The elevator was filthy. There was no breakfast as advertised, but based on the lack of cleanliness, I don't think we would have eaten there anyway. Our room was not made up our 2nd day there. When I called the front desk they told me they were not doing any cleaning because of covid and I " signed a statement" when I checked in saying that was ok. If I signed a statement, no one mentioned the lack of cleaning. I did not mind so much not having clean sheets ( we had only slept on them one night) but I had to complain to even get clean towels and then one of the towels had a huge hole in it. I know this is a "budget" hotel, but I expected more because it is a Wyndham property. This is truly a very dirty, uncared for place to stay.

I am very familiar with Meriden because I lived in Waterbury for 30 years. Moved to New Hampshire in Sept. 2019 and came back to visit son and celebrate our birthdays. Saw some old friends and visited recently departed husband's grave, but I did leave one day early because of canceled plans.
Didn't do much around Meriden but it was close to where I was visiting friends.

The cost for the accommodations were very reasonable.
The cost for the accommodations were very reasonable. Housekeeping staff provided good service and were hospitable. When the boiler caused the smoke alarm to go off and there was no water, the manger provided a free night for the inconvenience, much to relief!
When I returned the room in the afternoon around 4:00pm, no cleaning, no bed making, nothing done in my room.
What I was very upset and angry was the guy’s attitude at front desk. He just told me to wait until it’s cleaned without saying sorry or explaining, no showing any regret.
I never ever experienced this kind of thing before in my whole life travels.
Friendly, accommodating front desk staff--
I've found with motel/hotel rooms reviews are always a mixed bag, so you pay your money and take your chances.
I opened the door to a large, very clean, great smelling room. It was homey and comfortable and a good value. What more could I ask for? I ended up staying three nights more than I had planned.
I liked that they had a room available and that it was reasonably clean. I also liked that when I asked the manager to move my room because there were 10 people partying in the room next to ours, he addressed the party. I liked that it had a lobby entrance and not doors to the parking lot.
Nice comfortable place with pleasant friendly people staying there and nice small pool & great fitness area, good selection for breakfast just gotta get there a little earlier (I slept in too long) 😄 quiet nice rooms and didn't hear next door, deffenitly check it out.
The size of the room was very convenient. The breakfast was also very good, with different options, at least much better than other hotels of the same category. Soap, shampoo and conditioner Dove is provided. Parking available.
We liked that breakfast was included which made the hotel decent value for money overall. The lady in the breakfast room on weekdays was superb. She greeted all customers and kept everything topped up and very clean.
