Beautiful views of Mount Katahdin and great access to southern Baxter State Park. Scoodic In and Appalachian Trail Cafe are both great places to eat at. Enjoyed two art galleries in town. Downtown is easy to walk through although sidewalks can be a little hard to walk on as they are not level.

Stayed at Hotel Terrace to visit Baxter State Park and do some hiking. It's about a 35min drive from Abol and Katahdin Stream hikes, mainly because the speed limit in the park is only 20mph. Town is small, but has everything you need. I'd recommend it for those looking to do outdoor activities near or in Baxter State Park who don't want to camp.

Very interesting town. There must be quite a history here.

Very interesting town. There must be quite a history here. No one is telling the history that we could find. There is the old town and the tourist centered town. They seemed like they were from different worlds.

The location is great for people who want to explore Baxter State Park and the Katahdin region but aren't into camping. Opportunities for outdoor recreation about around the area, from Baxter and Katahdin Woods & Waters to some lesser-known spots such as the Penobscot River Trails on Grindstone Road and the MTB trails around Millinocket Lake. It's a former paper mill town in decline from its glory days so it's not the most picturesque town in Maine but there are restaurants, grocery stores and places to shop. I hope that after the pandemic subsides, Millinocket might reinvent itself as a hub for outdoor enthusiasts along the lines of Moab.

Millenocket ME is for the outdoor lovers. Mt.

Millenocket ME is for the outdoor lovers. Mt. Katahdin is the highest point in Maine and the end of the Appalachian trail. Amazing hike, BEAUTIFUL views and if you take the HUNT TRAIL, amazing conversations with thru hikers. Outskirts there is not much but there is all that the outdoors has to offer for sure. Remote camping, kayaking, etc. One of my absolute favorite places to visit.

Great place if you want to get into the real Maine woods.

Great place if you want to get into the real Maine woods. Love the beautiful West Branch of the Penobscot -- one of few places in US to catch landlocked salmon -- and views of Mount Katahdin. Town itself has little; better to stay up Millinocket Road. Always a chance to see moose and bald eagles; black bear, too, but less so, up the Golden Road.

From outside the hotel is not a good looker. However, the room we had (#11) was well appointed, looking out on a green and very quiet space. The beds were comfortable and the room had a coffee machine, some (plastic) cutlery and other utensils, and a microwave. It is centrally located in Millinocket. Worth a one night stay.

Comfortable hotel in a good location in Millinocket. Easy to access nearby Baxter State Park. Staff were friendly and kind. Bed was very comfortable and had ample pillows. Room was clean and neat. Hotel was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Fast and free WiFi. Easy to check in and check out.

I liked the hotel because it was great value for the price and the owner was helpful in making a suggestion for dinner. I would definitely stay there again if I spend a night in Millinocket. The grocery store and some restaurants are all nearby and it is a short drive to Baxter State Park.

We held our Class Reunion at the facility. Chris and the staff went over the top in assisting us in setting up and tearing down and throughout the evening. The stay at the hotel was great for the price. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Chris!

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms and friendly staff. Nice to have a restaurant in the building too (with yummy food!) did white water rafting with Three Rivers- only 7 minutes away from the hotel.

Location was great for our trips into Baxter State Park (30 minutes away), and it was close to many needed services in Millinocket. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the morning continental breakfast was decent.

The hotel hosts were exceptionally nice and called to check on us when we were late. It was no problem parking our car there overnight for a biking excursion. The room was very large and comfortable.

Cats greeted me at the door, and you can connect your own streaming apps to the tv and not pay insane hotel prices to watch one thing. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean

Staff is incredible. Most hotels not making an effort to provide breakfast because of covid - I appreciate that they did.
