The price and the location were convenient for a required appointment I had in the area. It was not a vacation but rather a task that I had to attend to in the area. There were warm srambled eggs for breakfast and a vat ov clean water.

We use the hotel for just one night due to living about 60 miles away. Always seem to be on the early morning flight out of MTJ, so for location, parking, and the great staff, we will always stay at the Hampton Inn Montrose.

What really distinguishes the Montrose Hampton Inn is the caring and helpful staff. Checking in and out was a breeze. Breakfast items were restocked constantly, and the tables were cleaned rapidly to allow other guests to use them. The unexpected sometimes happens, and the staff rose to the challenge. We forgot a set of keys and a camera battery charger in our room when we departed early in the morning. We got a call from the hotel staff later that day to let us know that the items had been retrieved, and the keys and charger were promptly mailed to our home address. We were impressed, thankful, and pleased. Great staff work!

I enjoyed the town of Montrose having never been there.

I enjoyed the town of Montrose having never been there. Close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison where we hiked for two days. We also took a half day trip to the town of Ouray. Enjoyed the Mi Mexico restaurant just up the street. Viewed an afternoon movie at the San Juan Cinema. WE scored in that it was Wednesday which happened to be $5 Wednesday. Saw Top Gun 2 for $5.

Montrose is a mid-sized community with access to the chains you are accustomed to at home. The town is very close to the orchard areas on the western slope of Colorado. I made the trip to purchase Palisade peaches and ended up taking home Colorado Bing cherries, Olathe Sweet Corn, and Rocky Ford Cantalope! All were amazing! It is very close to Grand Mesa which has very good fishing and to Gunnison with it's large reservoir. The climate in August was warm but since I went up from New Mexico not any warmer than what I was experiencing at home. There is a very good Italian restaurant, Pahgre's, in town and the Fettuccine Alfredo was amazing. I think they may even make their own noodles. The service was great and the staff amazing!

It was breakfast on the go and I decline the hotel was filthy. It was something that looked like blood on the blinds. The rug had stains on it. The pillows was sunk in. And the window seal had flies and nats in it. I understand why they say no refund, once you see it you would want your money back. We paid $137.00 for this dump! The only reason we stayed because everything else was sold out. We will get talk about by staff because when your reviews are not what they want to hear they will talk about you! So get ready!!!

Best hotel in Montrose for the money. Pool, hot tub, nice carpets and comfortable beds. The breakfast is amazing and the breakfast ladies are fabulous. The night clerk Friday night saved the stay for me. He was friendly and accommodating. A totally different experience from the previous nights. Along with the breakfast ladies, he made a good team. I would have stayed for my entire trip except that you wouldn't allow me to stay that long.

That was an interesting experience (in a good way). There was an old school in this building before it became a hotel. I love that they saved the school vibe with the beautiful furniture, photos of the old days with students and teachers from this school. The rooms were huge! Beds were the most comfortable during our long trip.

Excellent hotel, brand new renovations which make it even better: spacious room, comfortable bed, strong shower and very silent, you don’t hear anything from the road or other rooms. Quality of the breakfast also very good with fresh ingredients. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Nice location on ranchette between Montrose and Ridgeway. Farm animals and horses to visit with and feed. Dogs took us on a walk around the property's trails. Very attentive owners. Comfortable room with a view and fine made to order breakfast.

The house was beautiful and well located in Montrose. We had a lovely time relaxing after a day of adventuring and can't wait to go back! The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy - it felt like a home away from home!
