Mainly a passing town and not worth a night as the hotel prices are pretty steep. Less food choices as well. One way to see this place is arrive in the morning and leave by late afternoon. A few hours is what you need.

Great spot for a tour both a guided and a self guided if you have time. Just prepare for the weather if you are doing a tour on an open bus! Great Navajo guides and a great opportunity to learn more about Native American people.

in order to best take in the valley - I would give yourself a full day to do the scenic drive within the park, and check out some of the other scenic spots nearby. The scenic drive is only available for a short window mid day so plan accordingly. the formations and local pride in the area is very memorable.

The amount of construction around the scenic areas is shocking. I never expected Monument Valley to be in the middle of housing. It was a very sad thing to see. I guess it's the smell of money that changed Monument Valley into a kind of Disneyland. Based on what I saw, I would not make a detour.

Monument Valley is to be experienced!

Monument Valley is to be experienced! We both drove it ourselves and took a tour. I would highly recommend MV Dineh Rebekah (SP?) Cultural Tour which took us behind public areas and we had the attention of a Dineh Guide. It was magical.

We got to the lodge just in time to see the sun set in Monument Valley. Our balcony area gave us a perfect view! The room was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. A big hit was the John Wayne movie showing at the theater! Since it was filmed in Monument Valley, we got a taste of what it would have been like in 1939 when the film was made. Also, while we were unpacking, both of us inadvertently left our room key inside. The front desk person cheerfully gave my husband another key! The photo is from our balcony.

I choose this hotel for the view and I wasn't disappointed. From the balcony I had a great view over Monument Valley and in the morning I saw a great sunrise. Bed was good, the balcony spacious and we had a nice dinner at the restaurant. Close to Monument Valley, so after visiting there, you are in the hotel in no time. Staff not particular friendly, but efficient.

This hotel is not located in The Monument Valley itself but just outside. There is though a nice view from the room and balcony on the big rocks outside the parc. The room is comfortable. You can have a meal in the restaurant. The hotel is close to the entrance of Monument Valley. We ate our self provided breabfast on the balcony and enjoyed the beautiful view.

Large older complex of many kinds of lodging .We opted for the main lodge an older but well kept midcentury style two building complex overlooking the Monument Valley. Few services due to covid. Only dining limited and average because of few patrons. Lunch not available and dinner passable tho eager serversd.

Our stay was great - check in was smooth, parking was available, and we had the most outstanding view of Monument Valley from our hotel room. Although breakfast isn't provided with the room, the Stagecoach Restaurant is good and only a few steps away from the hotel.

Great hotel with a view! Our room had a balcony and the view was stunning! Totally worth the price. We had a chance to use a pool, it was a nice after a long drive to Monument Valley. Hotel has everything you need: restaurant, pool, museum, gift shop.

We had one of the landmark view rooms and it was absolutely worth it - the sunset on Monument Valley was amazing. The room was very big and extremely comfortable. My only regret is not spending a bit more time there, as we only had one night!

The view from the room was stunning especially at sunrise and the hotel facilities were great for such a small place. We especially loved being able to watch a John Wayne monument valley movie in the cinema.

We had a stunning view of Monument Valley right from our balcony. The room was modern and very clean. We also booked a tour via the Hotel and that was great too. Easy parking right in front of our room.
