Poppy’s Place Cabin, hotel in Newport

29 miles from The Grand Majestic Theater in Dandridge, Poppy’s Place Cabin features accommodations with access to a hot tub.

The view is incredible and a true mountain cabin. Three king beds each with its own roomy bathroom. Two (one main level, one lower) wrap around decks. The lower level game room is a huge plus. TVs in the game room, each bedroom, and the living room and good service. Our pet was allowed, the entire cabin was well stocked, and there were several special extras. The 40-50 drive to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg is very tolerable since you’re going to spend several hours at each destination.

Chasing Views Tiny House, hotel in Newport

Chasing Views Tiny House is located in Dandridge, just 19 miles from The Grand Majestic Theater and 19 miles from Country Tonite Theatre.

Chasing Views tiny house is perfectly situated for beautiful mountain views. The house has everything we needed and more. The bed sleeps very comfortably. The tv has an antenna connection that can access several channels but I was also able to tether my phone to it for a wifi connection so we could stream Hulu, Netflix, and other apps. We visited during a time of year when the weather goes from hot to cold day to day. The air condition and heating unit worked very well and quickly. Will stay again for sure!

Creekwalk Inn Bed and Breakfast with Cabins, hotel in Newport

This Cosby, TN bed and breakfast is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It features a daily breakfast, concierge services and rustic rooms.

The Inn was spacious and super cute. We were the only ones booked for the weekend so we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the handmade Danish and the service was awesome. The stunningly beautiful horse paid us a visit. That was quite nice. We got rained out but it couldn't have played out any better as it gave us quality time with one another. Coming from a completely neurodivergent household, we do NOT get alone time or time for each other, but the tranquility and peace alone had us feeling like we were in a whole other world. So slow and beautiful. This experience will go with me for the rest of my life.

This is a nice motel. It appeared to be clean.

This is a nice motel. It appeared to be clean. They do have an elevator that worked perfectly. It is very close to I-40 and it is behind a little convenience store/truck stop that is open all night so you can get snacks if you need to. The person who checked me in was nice, but not overly friendly. That was fine with me. The TV was small, and I had trouble seeing the show that I watched. The bed was just barely comfortable enough for me to get a half decent night's sleep. The pillows were way too small IMO. I don't know if they have any breakfast since I left at 5:30 AM, however there was no coffee in the coffee dispenser at that time. This is the second time I have stayed here. The first time I paid on an app, then the motel clerk charged me again for the stay. I got a refund with the help of the booking service, but it was a hassle. The extra charge was not entered on the night I stayed, but it was entered a few days later. The reason I noticed it right away is that I am a travelling salesman and I knew I was somewhere else on the date the extra charge was entered. Take from that what you will.

    Very ran down.

Very ran down. We ate at Ruby Tuesday’s in front of our hotel. It was not good at all. We both got steak that we were told was sirloin but it was paper thin and overcooked. The restaurant itself appeared old and not very clean. There isn’t much to do in Newport. The whole town just gave me the feel of “dirt”. As if the entire town needed a good bath and fresh paint.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Morning breakfast was adequate...hot coffee, oj, muffins, waffles...more than enough to get the day started. Receptionist was friendly and courteous. Great stay for the price.

We were only in Newport for sleeping accomodations as we were traveling through TN and having difficulty finding affordable hotels. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Trish's Mountain Diner where the waitress recommended Newport for a place to find a hotel for the night.

Very restful, housekeeping some of them have real attitudes. Some you would give them towels and get nothing back. Some of housekeeping feel as though they would rather be some where else. Some ignore guest like you got the plague. Everything else was good.

I was just happy that this hotel allowed 19year old to check in. My son was traveling for a few days and it's hard to find hotels that will let a 19year old check in. I wanted a safe hotel chain that I could count on. I wish I knew why you have to be 21 to check-in to a hotel Thanks again Jodi from Wisconsin
