The location. We had very bad experience with Ants in our room 403. The night person came and sprayed bug spray in room no ventilation. We asked if we could change rooms and was informed the hotel was sold out. There was no suggestion of any discounts or anything. We killed at least 10 ants prior to her coming to room. After she sprayed there was still ants throughout our stay.

I hadn't stayed at a Red Roof Inn before.
I hadn't stayed at a Red Roof Inn before. I was pleasantly surprised. The only complaint I had was breakfast. I saw that the front desk person was responsible for breakfast. The tables weren't being cleaned and the floor by the coffee station was sticky. The coffee was attended to very quickly when it ran out.
The room (314) had an odor and probably needs a bit of Febreeze. It wasn't too bad.
We were on the road and just needed to sleep a bit to break up the very long drive. This hotel worked out great for that! I couldn't find a place in Lexington so was grateful to find this place at a good price.

Richmond is portrayed as a good city, but once you live here it is horrible. I came to live here for Eastern Kentucky University. The university is wonderful, but the city is miserable. Crime is rampant and there is a homeless person on every single corner. You can tell that Richmond is riding on the back of EKU. The stores are always out of stock of everything, so it's best to just go to Lexington, to begin with. I lived in rural eastern Kentucky before moving here, and our stores were stocked better than in this city. There arent many options.

If you want breakfast stay somewhere else.
If you want breakfast stay somewhere else. The breakfast consisted of make your own waffles. 2 cold cereals, bagels with no margarine, butter or cream cheese. There was no bread for toast, no fruit. I like to stay somewhere with a breakfast so you don't have to stop. I will choose a better place next time Wyndam has definately declined in their quality.

We have visited many times over the years, our daughter and family live there. Many restaurants and shopping store, cinema, golf course, lake, sports complex, swimming pool, great schools, close to Lexington and horse racing, horse farms, and bourbon distilleries.

Was here for a funeral stayed at comfort suites would rate them 5 stars one of best I've stayed at. When desk clerk found out I was here for my brothers funeral he discounted room almost half nice to see some people and places still have a good heart
great location, but put us in room next door to barking dog. had to move to other end of hotel (thanks nonstop barking dog). which room stank an AC didn’t work great but managed to only have to stay up half the night burning up. Then to top it all Hampton Inn charges $50 in case you want to get something from downstairs which if I needed some from downstairs I will go out, purchase it elsewhere. I just don’t like the fact .they charge you $50 for it and then take it off at the end of your stay if you don’t use it.
For being a pet friendly hotel, the room were so clean and did not smell! Breakfast was yummy, fast items like muffins, granola bar, fruit, cereal and some drinks. Staff is friendly, welcoming and just plain awesome.
Due to storms knocking out the power, we were not allowed to stay at the hotel, which is understandable. However, we have not been able to reach them from the number they provided us to settle up on our account.
The hotel was conveniently located for a way point on our trip. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. Most channels I've seen for hotel cable tv in forever. I didn't over pay for a bed and a shower.
Remolding has taken its toll on the workers. According to the ones we talked to, this process has taken too long. They want a complete hotel so they can perform their duties without the distractions.
